I remember making an attempt to be kind to you, and it didn't land well. Immediately, I saw why. I couldn't believe how I could have been so blind.

I'm sorry. I tried too hard. I didn't mean to offend. I knew what I meant, but I see how such things carry meaning that I didn't intend.

I wanted to apologise straight away. I wanted to make things right. But, I was so embarrassed, I just... left. Which feels like another mistake.
