Unreasonable anger
Does anybody else have a problem with your anger being a domino effect what I mean by that is as soon as something makes me angry I tend to get angry at anything and everything it could be as simple as someone walking slow in front of me or just the way someone is talking when they've always talked like that. I don't know why my brain gets this way and I really hate that one thing can ruin my whole day even if I try to change my mood. If this happens to you can you let me know how you get out of the mood or any coping methods you use.

This happens to me as well.
Mine is a build up of small things with one small item ends up with big anger and then i find myself irritated at other small things. Identifying and fixing small items one at a time and unpacking that helps.
The best thing to help is to vent even small amounts like a pressure relief valve. If I talk to someone about how i am feeling it is NOT to a person who just agrees or adds on and ramps up my annoyance. ID your items avoid some who want others angry critical thinking about is some small item is worth your peace.
@toughNest8606 I totally understand how you're feeling. I've struggled personally with anger as well, and I relate to how it feels like one small thing that makes me angry can spiral into me being irritable, stressed, and bitter the rest of the day. It's also very frustrating when I know it's a small thing that shouldn't have made me mad, but I can't shake the feeling.
It's definitely been a journey trying to get out of this cycle, but I have noticed a few things that have worked for me:
- The 5-4-3-2-1 anxiety grounding technique is quite helpful for me when I'm angry. You may have heard of this, but if not, you name 5 things you can see around you, 4 things you can touch/feel, 3 things you can hear, 2 things you can smell, 1 thing you can taste. This can help take you out of your racing/angry thoughts.
- If you can, remove yourself from the situation/person/environment that made you angry. Try to go outside and walk around for a little bit. Or, go to a different room or somewhere private where you can vent out loud/de-stress/etc. This also ensures that you don't unleash your anger on other people that you may regret later.
- Journal on your phone or in a notebook and let all your feelings out. Talk to or text someone (7 cups is a great outlet for this) about how you're feeling or about your situation.
Overall, keep taking small steps and always keep moving forward. There may be many bumps in the road, but as long as you're actively trying to change, with the right mindset and strategies, success is inevitable. We're here with you all along the way. You're absolutely strong enough to get through this!! Sending you so much love, hugs, and prayers!! 💕
This is absolutely me.
I honestly think that might just be a normal issue with everyone, I have that issue too. It can be the smallest thing, like I'm getting my medicine and vitamins ready and I keep dropping them, then I see something ok the floor I keep getting frustrated, I here people talking it just builds up. I can be in the store and some grabs the last of what I needed boom I'm angry, then someone talks to me. It just keeps building up, naturally I have a red head, hot head temper, something I've been trying to work on.
I try to distract myself and focus on something different, I hear what I don't want to hear, I try to redirect my focus or play a song in my head if I don't have access to music. I'm always trying to keep myself busy no matter what, I try to think of list the positive things. One unhealthy thing I do is listen to heavy metal😂 I hope this helps some💖
Thank you this music is a go to for me as well just listening to metal music helps so much nice to know there's a few metal head here 💖💖
I like metal too hehe
@toughNest8606 yes this happens to me too, I tend to unintentionally bring others moods down too when I’m feeling this wave of anger which I later think back on and regret :(
It happens with me too
