Hello everyone, I hope everyone is having a good week.

In the last week, we discussed- What are some of the emotions that you find most difficult to regulate? If you haven't checked yet, please click here to add your thoughts.

This week's prompt is: Share stories of kindness and compassion that have made a positive impact on your mental health. What are some acts of kindness that have touched your heart? How do these acts of kindness inspire you to spread positivity to others?

This week I would like us to share our uplifting moments and experiences. I believe there are days when things go really harder, but something kind of happens and it reminds us we are okay to be not okay. We can get through this. We got this. Every step counts, and every moment matters. Please share and let's spread some positivity here too.

@ASilentObserver

Kindness and compassion make a lot of difference by bringing hope and light in our life 😊

I am really grateful to all the kind people I've met in cups who make me feel less alone and supported. 🥰

I made a post recently to thank people for being kind and spreading hope https://www.7cups.com/forum/gratitude/PositiveMessagesReminders_2231/Oneactofkindness_307187/ 🧸

Hi, ASO,

I'm not sure what kind of answer you are asking for. Do you mean acts of kindness specifically related to someone knowing we have mental problems? Or do you mean acts of kindness from people on 7cups? What do you mean? Thanks.

@purpleTree4652 Purple, I mean any acts of kindness that you experienced from others and those acts help you feel comforted or better. The people who did can be off or on 7Cups and may or may not know about your mental health challenges. But their acts to be kind towards you helped you feel a bit good. if that make sense

Someone on 7cups helped me in life when I was between a rock and a hard place. They helped me think through serious problems when not one other soul would. That made me feel like someone cares. And I will always be there for this person.

@ASilentObserver okay I've decided to say something......

I've been working as an intern at a particular factory. They had apprentices too, four of them. three of them were new, they had just joined mid my internship period. so yesterday my internship period came to an end. me, as a joke, asked them to give me something so i would remember them. The hr department was the place i had to sign for a pass out, it was also where the apprentices came for attendance and classes. looks like they planned something. they gave me a send-off party. no one has done this for me before (considering that i have known them only for a few days), not even my friends whom ive known my entire childhood. these people, these people, they showed me that there are few people who still care about the little-little happiness in moments. i guess ive gained new friends.

@lovingBeechwood6967 That was such a kind gesture from your colleagues. How wonderful they organized a send-off party for you. I am glad you experienced such kindness. You deserve more.

@ASilentObserver Well I can share one story, When I first moved down to North Carolina to live with my fiancee in our own apartment. I was scared, but excited. His parents wanted to meet my daughter so bad and were eager. So we arrived to his parents house. An his mom and dad immediately accepted her as their own grandchild that very moment. I almost cried, because that is something I had always feared, but I realized/recognized that if they were kind enough to greet me as apart of the family, then they would do the same for her. His mom always buys her things and willingly takes her places to give me a break, as well as his father always being on standby if something happens. It just goes to show that kindness and care come in many forms 😊

@PhoenixButterfly97 That's wonderful how his parents welcomed both you and your daughter so warmly. It must be such a relief to feel accepted by your new family. How does having that support from his parents make you feel? I'm glad you had this positive experience.

Honestly, it makes me feel great because in the past, I never really felt understood or heard from my past s/o's families. An I would always feel awkward, therefore it makes me smile seeing the action of kindness being displayed and not just making statements
