Yes, I have guilt. I wish I didn't. I get frustrated with my family (husband, son and puppy) for how they interact with each other and myself. Then after I have tried for as long as I can to contain my stress and anxiety due to their poor interactions, I explode. There is only so long I can keep it together. I just wish there was nothing to get frustrated about, so I wouldn't explode then I wouldn't need to feel guilty. It is taking a toll on my soul.

@BestoftheBest9215 I understand this is a frustrating situation that is taking a toll. You care deeply about your family yet feel stressed by their interactions. You seem resilient in your efforts to contain stress for as long as possible.

@ASilentObserver

I have changed as a person and confessed my sins to God. I don't hate myself anymore. I do feel guilty for communicating with evil spirits; I know I'm not supposed to do that.

@windchimes1991 Thank you for sharing about your journey towards forgiveness. It sounds like you have made positive changes and have gained clarity. You are aware of what doesn't serve you. It is compassionate that you want to surround yourself with uplifting influences. How do you feel about taking these steps forward?

@ASilentObserver Guilt is a sensation I know well. I get it from work. I'm behind and have to get caught up in a few days (which seems impossible). I still have to do the required training that I need to do and find time to get to a notary public close to work to take care of a different employment matter that's been going on for over a couple of years now.

I get it from the puppy. I don't get enough sleep and I've been having to replace things that she's decided to chew on (a lamp is the most recent casualty). Then I feel like I'm not doing enough or providing enough for her.

I get it from bills. I have a couple of late payments because I was waiting on a reimbursement check for the classes I've been taking and speaking of classes; I get it from school. I haven't even started on my third assignment yet because of work and I can't really do much of anything at home because of the puppy. She's actually getting in my way now because she wants attention even though we just came in from playing with her ball for an hour and a half.

@Enthenia Thank you for sharing what is weighing on your mind. It seems you are feeling overwhelmed by everything you need to manage and take care of right now between work, school, bills, and your new puppy. The guilt you described sounds difficult to bear.  Please know you are doing your best in each area, and it is understandable to feel like there is not enough time or energy to go around sometimes.

@ASilentObserver Thanks. It's just hard sometimes to get on. I always seem like I have something else that needs my attention. Currently, I'm watching the puppy's reaction to the robot vacuum I got. I had wanted to get one because she's a herding dog and I thought she might try to round it up. I can't do the vacuuming on my own because when I try to use conventional ones, she tries to either assist or fight with it (I'm not sure which). It also has mopping capabilities which is good because she does the same thing when I try to mop normally. I got lucky. The robot one dropped $500 in price. I've gotten her some teething rings too. Hoping that will help in the wee hours of the night. The replacement lamp seems to be working well. I got one with a metal frame that way she can't get the paper shade.

I got delayed at work because of them having to fix my log-in credentials. I still can't access my email on the computer but I can online. I'm not going to press the issue about the desktop email. I can still get the emails, I just don't check the online one that much because I have so many other things that need my attention. I got mainly caught up with my 800 so reports. Most of them are blank but I have to open each one to see that it's blank.

I had to move my due date back for my current assignment. It was due today and I haven't even done anything on it yet. Much of it consists of online labs. I just have to have enough free time to do them. I tend to do the labs at work once I'm caught up because I don't have free time at home. (like now I have to stop the puppy from shaking the rug.)

@Enthenia It sounds like you have a lot on your plate to manage between work, school, and caring for your puppy. Juggling many responsibilities can certainly feel overwhelming at times. If I can ask, what kinds of things do you find most helpful for managing your stress in busy periods?

@ASilentObserver even though the puppy does cause me a lot of challenges, I think taking her out for nearly two hours helps. It's tough on my legs because I have joint problems (need to get checked out but that's another tale) but all I focus on is trying to kick the ball where she can't block it (which is challenging because she watches me to figure out how I'm going to kick it). I've been getting headaches in the afternoon. Don't know if it's just a culmination of what I endure throughout the day or not. I guess it is because I don't have them at home.

I also try to do pictures and write when I have a spare moment and the puppy isn't being anxious and demanding I pay attention to her.

And, I do read while I'm waiting for my next bus. That helps breaks things up so long as I don't have to wait an hour for the bus because that's hard on my legs. I'm glad I don't work in retail anymore because I couldn't stand for eight or nine hours. Sometimes transitioning from sitting to standing is a challenge.

@Enthenia It sounds like taking care of your puppy, while challenging at times, also brings you joy through focusing on your bond with her and getting outdoors. Juggling all of your responsibilities can understandably lead to feeling drained.

@Mekuland3050 It sounds like you're experiencing deep hurt and regret over something that can't be changed now. Feeling unable to forgive yourself after working so hard must be incredibly difficult to bear. What matters most right now is how you support yourself through this painful time.
