What keeps you coming back?
Hello fellow Cupsers! My name is Kristy for those of you that don’t know me. And I’m a listener here on 7 cups. I have been around since October 2014 off and on. Tonight in the listener support room, we were talking about what we love about 7 cups and what keeps us coming back. My answers are:
1. I love seeing the growth and change in the members over the years.
2. Long term friendships that I’ve made with other listeners. No matter how much time passes, we pick up right where we left off.
3. New relationships with new listeners and watching them learn and grow as listeners and eventually take on leadership roles.
What about you? Whether you are a listener or a member, what keeps you coming back to 7 cups?

My Answer: Helping other members who need a listening ear, supporting everyone here in 7cups and promoting an inclusive environment, also safe and supportive! I'm mostly in Exploration Garden and Sharing Circle, so hosting these discuss to further explore the questions and challenges of others keeps me coming back! 💖
This is the only place in my life where I feel less lonely. That there are many others who go through similar problems, and have a roller coaster of emotions that come along with mental health. Cups has been my only form of support since I became a member in 2017. They are my go-to space for support. I have made a good friend here and there, and have kept in touch. It's a good feeling to be a part of a Community with others who can empathize with us, especially for those without the support from family and friends around us in our everyday lives.

Hi, Kristy!
I would say it's the connection with the best group of people I have ever met (people like you), and the great sense of meaning and purpose from all I do here. Both hugely enrich my life.
I came across 7 cups for the first time back in 2018. And my journey as a listener here steered me towards choosing mental health sector as my choice of profession. But I couldn't keep up with being a listener here due to all the personal and academic stress. Later I got back here in 2020 during the pandemic time and since then I've been here on and off. Now when I think of what is it that's bringing me back here everything, I think it's mainly 3 reasons for me.
1. The satisfaction that I get out of helping someone vent out everything that they've been hiding and the relief that follows.
2. The personal connection that I feel towards cups due to its significance in my major life choice (career).
3. The atmosphere at cups with all the special features such as goals, paths and especially the threads and groups.
Looking forward to reading everyones' reasons :)
I keep coming back to vent. I use this app for therapy.
