I'd be on the H-D side. I would much rather enjoy the sunrise than the sunset. Sunset signals the day is over, while the sunrise is the start of a new day.

@genericbeing On that fictional island map, I think I'd settle somewhere with balance. Close enough to the forest for calm and shade, but near the water so there's openness and light.
A spot like C or D feels right: get the sunrise glow from the northwest, see the sun travel across the sky, and still have access to both nature and coastline.
It's the kind of place where you could recharge, but also feel connected to the rhythm of the island.
Where would you picture yourself, tucked into the mountains for solitude, or out by the shore for that endless horizon?
