Why Can’t I Stop Eating?
Every single meal. Overeating. Every single meal. Stomachache, hard to go back to work, overstuffed, uncomfortable, in pain. And for what? Comfort? What use is comfort when I’m making myself fat and gross and sick and possibly closer to diabetes than I already am? Why have I stopped caring?

Unfortunately, food has the ability to give us good feelings and in the modern world it is increasingly aimed at this. You could hardly eat a lot of, for example, lean food or food without spices. But this also creates a psychological trap, because it is easier to eat a piece of cake than to get the same emotions from a walk / cleaning / insert your own version. This is often a consequence of the lack of support, acceptance or simply your place in life. And of course, you are not to blame for this, many people are unfair and this is reality. But there is good news. You can change this. And your overeating can be reduced if you try to accept yourself, regardless of the opinions of others and their vision. You probably have hobbies in life that do not depend on appearance, but give you at least some positivity. If you can switch to them - that will already be great. Of course, strict discipline sometimes helps, but this is not a universal remedy and in any case, it is important that you know why you are doing it. Believe in yourself and you will succeed. Good luck!

Are you skipping meals?
Are you on your phone or watching TV or just not engaged when you are eating?
That over full feeling is uncomfortable. Can’t move and just want to go to sleep! Are you an emotional eater?
No, yes, and yes lol
When I skip meals I eat EVERYTHING in sight and then I feel like exactly what you saying

There is a massive difference between not caring and simply not being mindful! You DO care about over-eating, because you have taken to this forum for guidance and support. Caring is the first step, but it can often be challenging to realize how full you are without practicing mindfulness in the present moment. What works for me, as someone who used to have an unhealthy relationship with food, is making sure eating is the only activity I'm doing in the moment - not using a phone, watching a show, or talking to a friend, since these can all distract and detach me from how my body feels. You got this, and you can do it!
I think planting your health as one of the top priorities in your mind ... leads one to start making efforts in that direction... ups and downs are there though.
I got control over my sugar cravings but gave in to it this past month with the stress.... now returning to good habits again. .... its a life long process.... better start training on it.... the complex human person again! Creature of habits.

It is hard, food is good. Just like a wise man once told me. Everything is okay in moderation. People this day and age tend to over indulge in things that they enjoy. Liquor, beer, alchohaul in general, Marijuana, and even food. Food provides similar endorphins as other things but the main difference is that we need it to survive. If you hold out your hand in front of you with your fingers and thumb closed (like you're waving at someone.) That is close to the ammount of food prtioning that you should put on your plate with each meal (just one serving though) if you can start living by that standard alone, you wont have to change much of anything about your diet, calorie intake, or what you enjoy eating most. It wont be an easy adjustment but over time, your stomach will begin to shrink. You will feel less hungry all the time, you will feel more satisfied and proud of yourself after every meal. All those aches and pains youre probably feeling on the daily will begin to subside as you start shedding the pounds, and your self image will improve over time as you start to notice the visible positive changes your body starts going through. It will give you more drive to keep on going down that path and after time you CAN accomplish your goals and develope a much healthier relationship with food...it wont be such an addiction but only a necessity. I promise friend, it CAN happen... You CAN do it...and you WILL be happy again. I have faith in you, even if you dont have faith in yourself. You deserve it!
