Wild Animals
So my puppy got into the outdoor fridge last night after Thanksgiving and ate 10 pounds of cornbread and 10 pounds of turkey (She only weighes like 60 pounds). This morning when I walked her she was super strong, maybe all the turkey protein? Or she was just chub from overeating? Anyone else's animal ever do something like this? Tell your best pet/animal story...

I needed to have an out of town trip and I was making plans to kennel my "princess fur pants" 🐶 with her vet. She had been there a couple of times and was kenneled as a requirement due to surgeries/medical needs before releasing her. Not the best option, but trustworthy people for sure, just some sadness as there would be less human contact.
Someone I know found out I would be going out of town, asked what I would be doing with her. They quickly spoke up, offered to have her at their house to stay as they too thought it would be stressful for her.
Daily calls to check on my little girl, comments that she was refusing to eat and lethargic. "Must be due to missing you"? they said. Sounds plausible I guess even for a highly food motivated beagle until........she was delivered home to me, happy to see me and proceeded to vomit and profusely. I had no idea what it was that was rolling around on my kitchen floor until I was casually told "oh, that's rabbit poo".
Even though my dog was a leash walked dog, they took her outside, just stood there it seems and never paid attention to what she was doing or getting into. Just awful!!!! 🥹
Live and learn, some people aren't capable of taking care of animals even if they have those of their own. She ended up being fine and ate well with me after getting all that out of her system. I wish it had been a pizza 🍕 incident as she and I would have felt a lot better about that! 😊
*high fives* 😊 and *hugs* ❤️
@SparkyGizmo Oh the poo thing is gross and they are irresponsible, I'm glad she survived on that diet at least-it could have been worse. Pizza would be much better.
