some warmth requested

I have a minor surgical procedure tomorrow which involves receiving injections.

Ive had it before once and there was some pain that made me little dizzy but in the end i was okay. So it was manageable.

Yet Im worried about round two.

Will everything go smoothly this time? Will the pain be manageable ? (the baby in you never stops fearing , no matter how much of an adult you become.)

Any words of support are appreciated. Hugs too 🩷

I would tell them that you are very nervous and what would help you (distractions, explaining things before doing, reassurance during it, etc). I’m also terrified of needles and I usually freeze and go silent, so practicing what I want to say and sometimes calling ahead helps me to make sure. Or I sometimes ask the front desk to let the nurse know I’m scared (incase I can’t advocate directly to them in the moment).

You got this!! It’s okay to be scared, you’re still being brave!
