update may 17th 2023
Hi!
As many teen members, teen listeners, and ATL's know, I'm Avy. I have been a regular member on 7cups since August, member since June. I live in the chats rooms. I have seen 3 major updates in the rooms, they seemed well, useless, and this was not something that the members were allowed to decide. If the adults get a voice, please tell us, and maybe let us teens have a vote.
First it was the changing the heart colors, which is completely pointless, then the whole scroll back thing which was just chaotic (and we did end up getting that one changed), and now the member browser dash looks so different.
i believe we may have been notified about this one, but the others we were not.
Sudden and drastic change actually upsets many members, including myself.
Also the icons for the rooms.... why?
can we please make the update something more useful, like i don't know... darkmode?
these changes arent nessicary, and they seem to cause chaos.... so why? if you know please comment
also like just comment if you hate the update as well.

I think the scrolling in rooms thing wasn't an update but a glitch and they resolved it so yay
But I definitely agree with how the changes just seem unnecessary and very uncomfortable.. I don't like the idea of getting adjusted with something and then just when I am kinda used to it ... there's a new change :')
The layout currently feels quite extra ish 😅 I'm still trying to click everything I see to see what it is for lmao and so far not enjoying it too much ... the stress unfamiliarity and changes causes is often overlooked it seems :(
Miss the notifications count tho..
I agree with you on allowing people to send feedback or thoughts BEFORE implementing an update!

it does feel very extra, i need my notif count, because i don't check unless it gets over 3, because i always have a PAT one in there because its insanely active.
it just feels extra like you said. I do have to say, not having an obnoxiously blue notification bar when you get a pm at the bottom is very nice. i actually prefer the gray.
and does anyone actually use notes on their m? i use it on my L but that's because my memory is bad.
yea, maybe take a vote or smthn, have a suggestion box? it almost seems like 'this is what we are doing and you have to be okay with it, no matter what"

lol I am a PAT member xD so I have it subscribed too and i agree it being insanely active in spreading smiles and notifications xD 😄 but same.. notifications count is important :/
Omg I think same ..the grey so far feels the only positive in this update ... imma take some time exploring more @_@
that made me chuckle because it's so true xD I'm still not over the forum update happened some months back :') to name one thing.. the limited reply per post doesn't make any sense still and I wonder why it was even worked into ... 😔

i thought i was alone in the limited reply thing, i thought it was just my phone being dumb. that is so weird.
and if there isn't going to be a notification count, at least make a it a little bigger, i have the app downloaded and logged in just so i can get notifications for my notifications.

Hopefully it's flagged for review soon so tech team can work on fixing the glitch 😅

I have to say things are changing so fast I feel like I can not keep up.
I did sign in to my m account earlier today and I find it so confusing. So. Do not like the changes there.
also did one small change on l side that do not like at all.
Some times I do feel we do not hear about changes like they just turn up out of no where.

yes i agree. I think we can all agree that the number 1 issue with the updates is we don't have any headup?
i did see a post about a M bar change like a month ago and the post was so confusing i was so confused.

i do agree that I didn’t like how the last ones weren’t said, but this one was decently announced. I do think the coins for rooms is kinda cool. I mentioned in my post (I’ll link here https://www.7cups.com/forum/GroupModZone_168/General_2446/Siteupdate_305307/) that it’s very hard to get to room and listeners. And as said not many of us really use our path. I also can’t find out how to get back to my posts, unless I had the link, like to mine. Over all I think it’s kinda cool but it’s not very particular for the garage user. Especially new users who’d not know what the site has to offer and will have to search for things and features, in the old update everything was extremely straight forward, so I think adding more icons on the top would help extremely.

Are you on mobile or a laptop? I can't freaking navigate the browser on my phone. Like at all. I'm currently stuck in forums
