I love this!
I moved this out of the Listener only subcommunity and moved it to a member forum! :) The goal is for any content that applies to members to be in the member-facing forums!
I finished a book today <3
@jesusredeemedme2425
What was the book called?
“I Will Always Write Back” <3
@jesusredeemedme2425
Sounds interesting, is it a romance?
No, it’s about a boy in Zimbabwe and a girl in America who become penpals, and how it changes both of their lives <3 It’s a true story :)
@jesusredeemedme2425
Oh sounds nice!
@burningspiritual1only
These really work, you just need to give them a try. Even 2-3 minutes of each can make a difference, you dont need to commit to the whole thing

So true!
The book I'm reading is too exciting! I read at night, but I end up staying up too late. The book is called "American Sirens." It's about how the paramedic profession got started in America. It's like a history book that was written like an action movie. It's both quick-paced and filled with amazing back stories about key people and events.

That sounds really exciting! What's your favorite event from the book so far?
The man who invented CPR conducted a daring, high-risk demonstration to prove that the accepted method of resuscitation at the time was completely useless and that his method of giving rescue breaths worked so well that anyone could do it. He gave his subjects anesthesia and a drug that paralyzed them and let regular people including a young Boy Scout perform CPR. It worked! This man was the one who trained the first paramedics, who were all African Americans recruited from a disadvantaged neighborhood.
