Who are some people we can look up to to empower us?
Is it a teacher?
Is it a parent?
Is it a mentor?
Is it a sibling?
Is it a grandparent?
Is it a friend?
Is it a book or television character?
Is it a aunt or uncle?
When we have someone we can look up to, life can get so much more empowered. The trusted individual(s) can help us reach our fullest potential and help us believe in ourselves in the toughest of times. I want to know, who are some people you can look up to to empower you? If anything, you can even say what you look for in someone to empower you. Either way, know that we are here for you if you ever need someone to help empower you. We're all in this together!

I actually look up to a celebrity :) It sounds weird, I know, because he doesn't have the slightest idea who I am. But everytime he's on my computer, tv or phone, he mangages to say something inspirational. The people around me motivate me to be myself and love myself for who I am. But he inspires me to be my best and aim for my dreams. Whenever I feel that I'm not doing enough, or I'm just wasting time away, I look up to this man who tells all his fans to keep trying- like he did. Even if he is just in the top 1% that reached his dreams, he makes me feel like maybe I can too, someday. I'd like to end this long reply with two of his quotes ^^
I think that if its anything you really want to do, work hard for your goals. Dont give up easily and continue to carry on; try your best to carry on with things that may not always work out. Just dont give up. Even if you cant guarantee 100% success, if you do give up, it will be a guaranteed 100% fail. Even if theres only a 1% chance, try to believe in yourself and do your best; dont stop trying, even until the end. Thats my attitude. Never give up on things you cant live a day without. I look up to my band director. She gave me a hand with I needed help and she pulled me up from the ground. She makes sure I feel well and am happy and she cares for me and makes me happy to get up

They are rare.
I take inspiration from different people for different things. When it comes to art my biggest inspiration is an art friend of mine. One day she said "I will become a professional artist!" She drew and drew, studied and studied, wrote the words "gotta git gud" as in "I'm gonna get good (at art)" onto her wall and now she improved in such an amazingly short period of time... she is now a demanded freelance artist, being commissioned by companies like Blizzard and having hundred thousands of fans all around the world. She showed me that anything is possible with lots of dedication and passion.
Carreer-wise I have mentors who I look up to and who inspire me a lot. Granted, I don't want to have their jobs but it's inspiring how they rose up into high positions and how they manage to have a family and a carreer. My main mentor is a woman who is climbing the carreer ladder very fast while having two kids as well and a husband. I admire her for being able to follow her goals despite having kids and all that. That's not common for many women since many have to decide between kids and a good carrer.
But at the very end my biggest inspiration is my father. He got from an insecure PC nerd to a successful management consultant. This alone isn't what makes him my inspiration but the fact that he tells me about his weaknesses and fears he has to fight on a daily basis makes him being my idol. He makes me believe in myself no matter what weaknesses I have.
