"But we cannot simply sit and stare at our wounds forever."
Haruki Murakami
@trueconfidant123 I love this, a really good quote. 💗
@HeartyAlly thank you 😊💕
Stop wasting time thinking about wasted time
Also this one is from my favorite novels
“I wasted all those yesterdays and now I’m out of tomorrows”
Kinda always reminds me to try and make the most of everyday
And
“The sun can’t see its own light”
@conscientiousBalloon2343 Those are very cool for perspective on making the most of today! 💗Thank you for sharing! I really like the last one, a good reminder of how we may positively impact others but not always see it. 🌞✨
@sleepyduckling omgg this melts my heart so beautiful

"Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I am changing myself."

'Grrr, grrr, howllllll'
@Dust123 🐺✨
We humans are so intelligent we can even fashion cages out of our thoughts and torture ourselves within them. I overthink, ruminate, and stress a lot.
But other animals don't do this. They can simply be content they exist and have shelter and food. Doesn't that sound nice?
So I am trying to be more like our quadrapedal friends.
Hence the quote - 'Grr,grr, howllll'
@Dust123 It does sound nice not to think so much, and it's true, we create endless suffering in our thought loops, but being human can be so complex. Thank you for sharing!😇 I read somewhere that simplicity is a kind of wisdom. 💖All the best with finding ways to live more in the present and in the now than in the mind!
@HeartyAlly Don't be so attached to who you are in the present that you don't give the future version of you a chance. (Vinh Giang)
@MeilleureAmie

@MeilleureAmie Ah I love this, this is powerful! 💖We are so much more than our present position or circumstance. Thank you for sharing! 😊

My thought is me: that's why I can't stop. I exist because I think...and I can't stop myself from thinking. At this very moment, it's frightful, if I exist, it is because I am horrified at existing. I am the one who pulls myself from the nothingness to which I aspire: the hatred, the disgust of existing, there are as many ways to make myself exist, to thrust myself into existence. Thoughts are born at the back of me, like sudden giddiness, I feel them being born behind my head...if I yield, they're going to come round in front of me, between my eyes, and I always yield, the thought grows and grows and there it is, immense, filling me completely and renewing my existence.
@Lilymor Wow, what a beautiful, moving and thoughtful piece. Facing existence with our own existence, the wrestle with 'I', the self being born out of thought and the act of thinking. Reminds me of the quote by René Descartes - I think, therefore I am. It kind of feels like the agony of not being able to escape the self, thought finds us one way or another, our existence blatantly there. Thank you for sharing. 💖 Did you write this?
@HeartyAlly
Thank you. I'm glad it resonated with you. You read something in it that I hadn't quite put into words myself. And no I didn't write it.. it's from Sartre's Nausea💙
