The Weekly Beacon: Small ways to help the community! (Week 5 / April 12)
Welcome to week FIVE of The Weekly Beacon! For those who might be new to this initiative, The Weekly Beacon is our new tradition where we share simple, small ways you can lend a hand around the community. The heart of 7 Cups has always been the people in it, and you do not need official badges, special training, or hours of free time to make a difference in someone else's day.
🌟 The Recognition Board 🌟
Every day you reply to these weekly threads to let us know you completed one of the tasks, you earn a star. You can earn up to 7 each week for each day of the week. Once you earn 30 stars, you will receive the exclusive "All for one" badge!

If you have a few minutes today, here are some simple ways you can lend a hand this week:
- Check the Newbie Hub for people introducing themselves, and drop into their posts to acknowledge them
- Greet someone in the Welcome thread (click the >> to go to the most recent page)
- Spend an hour in one of the member rooms, especially during a time of low activity. Welcome everyone who enters the chatrooms to make them feel seen. Click here to visit the Group Chats.
- Give out a resource to someone! Examples: the 7 Cups Basics, the Listener Quick Guide, or a self-help guide
- (Adult listeners) Sign up to host games in the Listener Community Room (detail post here).
If you can do even one of these things, whether just once or for multiple days this week, please reply to this thread and let me know what you did to support our community! It can be anything, not just things on the list!
Don't forget to tag your friends so they can pitch in and earn stars, and you earn a star for tagging too, as that is also a kindness task!! ✨ You can earn up to 7 stars each week by showing up to this thread daily! ✨

I haven't seen a new forum post for an additional week as of yet. I just post my daily activities until I see a new week pop up 😊 ❤️.
I just figure it all comes out in the wash kind of thing. I'm here, I try to do my best. I'd be doing it whether there where cheers or a badge involved or not. I just see the experience as fun, enjoyable, team building, good habit forming, etc. (Must admit, the badge is a nice touch and I'm excited about it 🌟)
I really love this thread additionally as it reminds me a bit of @GlenM 's thread from long ago, blast from the past... "3 key things". I was active there for the longest of time.
You're doing a fantastic job! 😊 Good things come to those who wait and H won't leave you behind, won't ever intentiontally overlook your efforts. It's all good. H see's you 😇 as they see us all when we do our personal best ❤️ .
Keep exhibiting your greatness, do it for the love of 7 cups, the love for your teammates and if for some reason, the "stars" don't add up for you in the way that you felt you were deserving of, H is open to pm's to correct any type of accidental oversight.
