GLDD: Introduce yourself here!
Welcome to Group Leadership Dynamics & Development Program!
I am excited and glad to have you with us. We are here with you to provide all support and guidance during your learning journey. This has been something we believe helps you get a better understanding of group dynamics. Please find the course description below.
It focuses on the communication and leadership behavior of individuals within group structures. The theoretical and practical knowledge are used to explore the stages of group development, decision-making techniques, group dynamics, group problem and solving, group leadership skills, cultural sensitivity, norms, and interpersonal dynamics within groups.
Please also introduce yourself and let us (if you are comfortable) where you are from and your personality type.
If you do not know your personality type, you can take a quiz here to know it! Share the one strength that you think will help you out in becoming an effective group specialist.
Please remember, you are unique and have personal strengths and gifts that set you apart from others but you can utilize them to gather all and support them in a unique way that others might not even imagine of. You have that strength and personal gift. All you need to identify, acknowledge, amplify, and deliberately use them every day to strengthen yourself to provide support and strength to others.
It will not only allow you to successfully complete this program but also help you to progress and grow on your personal and professional fronts too. You are taking a significant step towards learning and creating a difference.
Best wishes for your learning journey!!
Please note: In order to successfully complete the program, you must respond to this post. Your comment/response should answer the questions/show that you completed the given activity (if any). Start your learning journey with Discussion 01: Introduction to Group Support, then check here!

Hi @ASilentObserver and everyone reading!
My name is AstrologyYogi, most people on here call me Astro of Yogi. I am from the beautiful West Coast of Canada and my personality type is Meditator INFP-T. This definitely makes sense as I feel most accomplished when I'm working my job in mental health services and then spending time here on 7Cups in my free time.
I easily take on far too much sometimes though, and therefore, one of my biggest learning lessons will be to pace myself and do lots of self-care. Looking forward to this :)
@ASilentObserver
Hello ! Nice to meet you all, my name is Mya, and I am from France.
I am not so comfortable taking personality tests, I tried to, but I don't feel connected with the result of it, as I feel I have many sides of personality my answers to most questions are yes and no at the same time haha !
Anyway, I am very glad to be a part of this program and to learn so many things, in order to grow as a listener and as a human being. :)
Thank you very much for giving me this opportunity !
Hi!
I believe I'm an INxP- t. 'x' because it keeps fluctuating between T and F everytime I take a test, so I believe I have I'm rational but at the same I take my feelings into consideration while making decisions.
I'm really glad to be a part of GLDD, looking forward to learning a lot and have a good time!
@dyca5114
Hoishhhh, fluctuating between T and F is a case with me too. xD

Hello! I'm cream and I'm from Bangladesh.
My personality type is the mediator, INFP-t.
My one strength that I think will help me become an effective group specialist is that I'm observant. It really helps me read a room and use my thoughtfulness.
@ASilentObserver
In the 16 Personalities test I am "INFJ-A Advocate"
The trait that might be the most useful for Group Support is empathy and a warm, sensitive communication style:
According to the test:
"Advocates (...) communicate in a way that is warm and sensitive. This emotional honesty and insight can make a powerful impression on the people around them.
Advocates value deep, authentic relationships with others, and they tend to take great care with other people’s feelings. "
@ASilentObserver
I live in Buenos Aires Argentina.
@ASilentObserver My name is Ocean, I am from Switzerland and my personality type on the mbti test is INFP-T
Apart from the test I think one of my greatest strengths is, to be non-judgemental towards everyone and accept and love people for who they are
@ASilentObserver
Please also introduce yourself and let us (if you are comfortable) where you are from and your personality type.
Hello, everyone! Pals aka tex here :D
I am from India (yes, the country; no, not Indiana state smh :p) and my personality type is ENTJ (Commander).
A few of my strengths are:
1. Efficiency.
2. Self-confidence.
3. Strong-will.
4. Strategic way of thinking.
5. Charismatic and inspiring personality.
Share the one strength that you think will help you out in becoming an effective group specialist.
Commanders are seen as natural-born leaders. The gifts of charisma and confidence help us project authority in a way that draws crowds together behind a common goal.

Hi, I'm MindfulListener82 and I'm from Seattle, WA 💚💙
✨My personality type is INFP-T "Mediator". The beginning of the summary/description reads:
"Although they may seem quiet or unassuming, Mediators (INFPs) have vibrant, passionate inner lives. Creative and imaginative, they happily lose themselves in daydreams, inventing all sorts of stories and conversations in their minds. These personalities are known for their sensitivity – Mediators can have profound emotional responses to music, art, nature, and the people around them.
Idealistic and empathetic, Mediators long for deep, soulful relationships, and they feel called to help others. But because this personality type makes up such a small portion of the population, Mediators may sometimes feel lonely or invisible, adrift in a world that doesn’t seem to appreciate the traits that make them unique."
*scary accurate 😄
✨Thanks for the opportunity to be part of this community!
