Earth Day - Appreciating our planet

as some of you might know, today is the official "Earth Day". This year especially, the theme is "Investing in our planet" and aims to spread awareness about issues such as global warming, pollution and many more.
I always believe that us humans tend to take our beautiful planet for granted and what it does for us everyday. It gives us the air we breathe, water we need, a home, and so much more.
So for this special day I'd like to ask you - What do you appreciate about the Earth? What is something you are grateful for what our planet gives you?
And ultimately - how can you show the Earth a little appreciation today? this could be anything like taking your bike to work, eating less meat, picking up some trash on your way...

Thankyou for tagging me, Avery. This is a lovely post, and sooo agreed hehe, we unfortunately do tend to take our beloved Mother Earth for granted. Small steps do matter though, so yay on making this post and creating awareness as well. ❤

I like how giving, nurturing and beautiful out planet is. Everything about nature is marvelous. Our planet gives us everything lol, so I'm utterly grateful to it for sustaining life.
How can you show the Earth a little appreciation today?
Ooh good question and I'm interested in what everyone answers for this one, like I mentioned above, small steps matter so much. It could be planting a new tree, switching off devices for a while, conserving energy, not wasting food and water, clean up drives, being mindful of plastic consumption etc. -- I do most of these on a regular basis as well hehe.

I feel honored that you tagged me in it hehe. And now to the questions:
What do you appreciate about the Earth? What is something you are grateful for what our planet gives you?
It gives me the opportunity to live my life to the fullest, to clear my thoughts every time I go outside and I appreciate nature every time that I go outside, feel the air and see everything grow, especially in this time of the year. And I really think that people (me included) seem to forget about that sometimes.
how can you show the Earth a little appreciation today?
I can avoid using plastic bags, I can be aware of how to treat nature and animals in general and I can use public transportation to not make climate change worse then it already is :)

I'm a little late... but better late than never... Besides, I feel like I should find something good to say about the Earth I live on every day... not just one day a year... That said, I appreciate Earth Day because our home deserves recognition more than any other holiday... it's where we live. Without the Earth, we would simply not be...
One thing that has been a nature thread through out my life is TREES. They are so important. I feel so bad about all the major fires. Without trees giving off their life giving oxygen, we couldn't live very well here. In my mind's eye I can still see the leaves in the trees overhead as I laid on my grandparents front lawn looking up...watching the clouds, watching the leaves being gently batted by a gentle wind..
Flowers, bees, birds... they are all beautiful amazing miracles.
