hello there, teen club c: i'm not a new listener but this is my first thread in this forum so i'm hoping it's it the right catergory

tonight i met one of the sweetest members i have ever come across during my time here at 7cups (which is about 3 months – pretty short but hopefully it means that i'll get to meet even more amazing people in the future) and it prompted me to write this post. as you all know, listeners on here are all volunteers. i think each and every one of them are very special because wow, they took time out of their day to help other people, even though they're probably struggling with their own problems too! and to be honest, sometimes things get tough. every listener will go through at least one difficult chat which makes them really doubt themselves and their capabilities.

earlier this evening i was also going through the forums and looking at some feedback posts where i read some pretty upsetting posts from some users who have had bad experiences with a listener on this site. it makes me sad to think that there are some listeners here who don't take their responsibilities seriously and if you are a member/guest who has experienced this, i am truly sorry. i want nothing more than each and every one of you on here to get all the support and love you need, and if you didn't receive that, i want you to know three things: it's not your fault, you deserve all the encouragement you need and my pms are always open if you need someone to talk to.

but that's where most of you guys come in. as a listener, what makes me love this site and want to stay and basically what makes the whole experience amazing is majority of the people here. for every chat that has gone wrong, every time that i felt bad about something, i met a great person.

thank you to all the members/guests. no matter who you are, where you're from or what your issue is, i think all of you are incredibly brave and strong. it's not easy to admit to yourself that you need help and it's definitely not easy to open up to a complete stranger. to those that i've talked to, thank you so much for trusting me enough to spill out your problems. and thank you to those who have been so unbelievably kind and understanding to me, you're the ones who make listening so rewarding.

thank you to all my fellow listeners. like i said, it's amazing that you're willing to take the time to help other people. once again, to those i've talked to, all of you are so special. you helped me in so many ways and kept me going. (by the way, if you're a member/guest who has experienced an upsetting chat with a listener, i promise you there is someone for you out there. there are so many wonderful listeners on here, it just takes time to find the right one for you).

the bottom line is – i am so happy i found this site, and if you're reading this, i'm glad you're here too. another point you could take away is to just be nice to everyone, it's not that hard and you could make someone's day. all of you are courageous and beautiful individuals and i can't thank you enough for making this site the great community it is today. you guys keep me going. please remember how important you are. if you've made it here, congrats – i am terribly sorry for being so long-winded. have a great week <3
