Community Spotlight - January 2021
Hello 7Cups Community Leaders & Discussion Leaders!! I hope you are all doing well.
I am writing this post to express my heartfelt gratitude to each one of you. Because each one of you is making an impact through your contributions to the community. Whether you are listening to a member 1-1, supporting each other in group chat rooms, forums,, or Q&As, or leading different types of sessions to support the community members and listeners. All these efforts are a reflection of our collective contributions as a team.
Every community leader or discussion leader has their own strengths, ideas and creativity that they brought up with them and creating a great environment. I am thankful to each one of you.
Please join me to congratulate and appreciate over 250+ community leaders & discussion leaders who went above and beyond in their multiple roles to create value in the community through their thoughts and contributions. What I learned: everyone is going through something. Every. Single. Person. Alive. Today.
What I enjoy about the role: being able to facilitate dialogue and awareness among members that everyone hurts sometimes, and that it's okay to share it rather than keep it bottled up.
I learnt how to balance a discussion and carefully discuss one thing at a time and to take things slowly. One thing I enjoy about my role is being able to support everyone in the room and to listen and know that I have helped

What did you learn in your role lately?
For my discussion leader role I learned that everyone has a different base of knowledge and expertise and when we band the other we know so much!

All the different people I get to talk to is by far my favourite thing! ♥️
Thank you so much for the tag! I’ve honestly been learning so much in my role and im exciting to keep growing my knowledge! One thing I enjoy and love is meeting all of you wonderful people and building relationships with others through our discussions!

1. I learned that are many ways to help someone and the method can be direct or indirect.
2. I love that I can greet everyone and spread kindness with just a few messages and I know that if anyone has a problem I will be there to support them.

How supportive many listeners can be, and how valuable that support can be. And how I'm still learning, and have goals I would like to reach.
