Im not alone with what Im dealing with, even if it feels like I am
I learned that I have to care about myself first. That there are some toxic people out there who will always let me down. It is not my fault. Sometimes they will ask me to help them and then blame me for not being good or strong enough for them. Well, then I have to let them go and not pay attention to all the negativity that they bring into my life. Because I'm only human and I'm doing the best I can. I have to take care of myself for doing such amazing work. It is not selfish at all and I'm not self-centered or egoistic. I still care a lot about people who actually need and appreciate my support. But those who use me and then leave me with nothing but the feelings of being worthless, unwanted and threadbare just aren't my kind of people I guess. I don't have to stand them. I can tell them that they make me feel bad or just ignore them until they simply leave me alone.
And I don't have to help anyone, especially if I don't want to or feel bad about it. It is okay to say no. It is my life and it's up to me to change it.
It is okay if I can't help someone. Maybe they need to start coping with problems themselves, maybe there will be someone else to give them support.
it is also just fine if I can't help myself sometimes. I won't give up, I will get better and then everything will be alright.
There are so many great people who will always love and support me and I should pay more attention to them instead of caring for those who don't even need me in their life.
Hi.
What I focus on changes what I pull towards me, create and what I see more of.
And what I focus on is under my control.
I do not have to listen to the voices of my SH addiction or ED. I can trust others when they say those voices are wrong.
Life is full of surprises.
Dear everyone at 7cups!!! Hi
This is step 850 for me and will make it day 9 of my daily streak.
Something I am in the midst of learning is that trying new things (like hobbies, or switching therapists or doctors) can be really hard and scary sometimes. But we should still do those things. If I do not learn, change, and grow as a person, how will I be able to improve my own life and potentially the lives of others!? Yes, I know - it is much easier said than done - for me anyway.
So, when the small (or not so small) voice in your head says to give up or just not try in the first place, you can tell it: "NO, I will do (activity) or go to (event)." Who knows, maybe someone else needs you there!
Step 90!
Things are becoming easier

Im on Step 18.
