I am learning that I can not control everything and thats okay because no one can.
@determinedstar91 I feel that, man. It's good to come to terms with.
Step 24: What have I learned? I've learned that maybe I'm not losing my mind. I'm just grieving and grief is a process. I am accepting of all my emotions whether they make sense or not. My wall of disappointment and rage is crumbling and I'm finding that I didn't lose the capacity to love or be understanding after all. I have a clearer view.
That old coping skills can easily slip right back into place if I do not practice , every day and put into use, my new skills.
I
Level 89 on my growth path in a little over one month. The habits gained from working the growth exercises daily (at the same time every day) has helped tremendously. I almost - almost but not quite - feel safer, more secure.
When I first downloaded the app, I thought I was being crazy. I had tried nearly everything even therapy which turned out to be a total bust ( in my country if you're covered by the public health insurer, doctors don't give you any attention. In fact maximum time for a session with public health insurance is 20 minutes- and that is if you were crying)
But then I started with the mindfulness, which back then only lasted 4minutes. The breathing and the gratitude excercises and most of all sharing with others who understand. I never thought that being part of a community could heal me. And now, I can't imagine my life without 7cups. I am so grateful for everything!
Been away from my path for awhile but I am back at it!
Im learning to be more present in the now and trying to stop obsessing over the negative thoughts that pop into my mind.
I learnt that I will still have emotional days like I did today
I've learned to appreciate the little things, and I've realised that not everything bad that happens is my fault.
