One of the things I'm learning is to try not to worry too much about the future, and focus on the present. One of the most helpful 7cups activities is the one where I have to give advice to a friend who is feeling the way I am. It forces me to be nice to myself and give myself advice rather than beating myself up.

@igoback622

Focusing on the present can be so helpful, as we cant change the past and we cant control the future. The only thing we can do something about is the present!

And im glad that 7Cups activity helped you- it can be really empowering and very effective in teaching us how to be kind to ourselves xx

To be honest, I didn't learn much about bipolarity as I had already been reading a lot about this disease and its appropriate treatment. However, my knowledge can't be perfect yet so I hope I can get to learn more about it on this wwebsite. Besides, I have finally realised the importance of keeping a mood chart, something I was too lazy to do previously as I have difficulties with regular activities. I just can't remember to do one thing every day. Nevertheless, I will now do my best to keep a mood chart as regularlty as possible. I really wan't to control my bipolarity without being dependant on my psychiatrist.

@MsLawlipop

Mmm, I hope you can learn more about bipolar disorder, whether it be through this website or not. Knowledge is power!

And im glad youre going to try to keep a mood chart as regularly as you can- it can be really helpful in seeing our mood over a period of time. Have you tried different ways of staying on track, such as setting an alarm for a certain time every day to remind you to do your mood chart? Im not sure if it could help you.

Thank you for posting! xx

@rebecca947 No I haven't done such a thing ever. I'm very bad at keeping my days regular, at eating, sleeping or doing anything at regular hours. I'm obviously not a pro at organisation. But I will do my best to do it ! Thanks for your concern :) It's so nice of you and I realmly appreciate it !

Adversity is not an impediment to those who are conscious of the growth, strength and peace it brings. Embrace the journey, the path may not always be straight.

i love what you wrote! Very nicely worded, and adversity can be challenging, but knowing the growth it brings to us if we choose to embrace it can make adversity less painful. Thanks for posting! xx

Focusing on the positive things in life is a major study goal, and getting better at defining the problems I'm dealing with.

@DinGirDuMu

Focusing on the positives can be so beneficial for us, as it can help us feel less pain. And defining our problems can be so beneficial also in better dealing and handling with it, and possibly problem-solve :) xx
