1 Year Cupversary !
Woahhh! 1 year of being a listener on 7Cups, that's crazy! I've grown so much within the space of a year. So many listeners have helped me grow. I've changed in every aspect which is mind blowing to me!
I've had such a journey within the time of a year. Through becoming a listener, i've learnt massively on Cups. I've made some awesome friends and i like being there and supporting teens like me.
I lost my friend and classmate Jay in June 2021, because of his death i decided to become first aid trained, i taught myself how to use diabetic equipment (cause of his death) and i got trained in Makaton (sign language used whilst talking). - I sign to communicate with kids who are non verbal or have learning difficulties. Alongside being trained in the above, i'm also CPR and seizure trained.

I'm sorry to hear your loss 🩶 Loosing a bestfriend is tough. It's inspiring that you weren't just went through the grief, but you also came out stronger, wiser and became the support for others. Ahh, grief is so hard. I lost a friend to suicide last year, and I decided to take the CDM ( Content Development and Marketing Program) in their honour because they were in the communications field and a mental health advocate. I always had an interest in learning more as well but never got the chance to ask and I used Canva for fun/at one of my previous jobs.
I am so glad you could be connected to your friend by gaining more education and helping others with that. I learned a lot about diabetes last year. I think we should all learn a little more.
Happy one year cupservary!! That's huge :) I joined 7 Cups in 2014 as a teenager and teen listener and idk where the time has gone.
