Hi everyone! Most of you know me but to those who don?t my name is Lynnie! :) I?ve been at 7 Cups for exactly one year 5/31/15 and I wanted to share my experience with all of you. It will be bits and pieces as my elderly brain cannot remember everything!

I first found 7 Cups when I myself needed it. I talked to my listener for about an hour and after feeling a lot better we talked about how she became a listener. I decided I wanted to do that too! When I first joined the chat room was down so I didn?t get to really meet other listeners, which made things super difficult and scary! Anywho, I took a few chats and I felt really good about helping others. However I slowly stopped coming on due to personal reasons and for about a good two months I completely forgot about 7 Cups. When I came back on I went straight to the listeners chat room and it was probably the greatest day ever. Everyone was incredibly welcoming and helpful. I thought the Mentors were super scary though! (Even though now I don?t bat an eye when it comes to spamming you guys ) But eventually I talked to @Pam and I quickly got over my fear. (Thank you @Pam for dealing with all my questions when I bombarded you with them!)

So for a month I got on for hours everyday talking to guests/members and I met my first friends in the listeners chat! I met @BabyBlue, @Aishaaa_, @Letmefixyou96, and @MelAllYouNeedIsLove! You guys were so amazing and sweet and you were always there for me! Then I met @Emma! I remember I was terrified of you at first! I dreaded asking you questions (even though you were super nice) but eventually we became really close .

I became friends with tons & tons of amazing listeners and 7 Cups because my second family. After a while I became a Peer Support and then eventually a Teen Star, and it was pretty scary at first. I was so honored to have been nominated but I was terrified to let everyone down. I had many a conversations with @Jessica about if I should continue on as a TS. Eventually though it became nothing and just came naturally. I was able to be more involved and I got to be a part of some amazing projects!

I?ve had a lot of hard days whether it was a bad chat or a personal reason, but I knew I?d always have my 7 Cups family to help. If it wasn?t for you guys I don?t know if I?d still be a part of the site. Every single person has become so special to me and I?m so grateful to have been able to meet so many amazing people. You guys are so unique and remarkable, each one of you encourage me in different ways. I?ve made so many lifelong friends here and to be able to grow as a person with you is incredible. I?ve laughed and cried with you guys, and I got to relive my childhood thanks to @Jessica and our Barbie marathon I hope to share more years with you guys and I couldn?t have asked for a better community. Our 7 Cups family grows bigger every day but the bond will always be the same! This is super cheesy but I?m practically an oldie so I get to be cheesy I love you guys and I?m happy to celebrate my first year with you!
