Grateful for the motivation to change
Hey everyone! I’ve only been here a short time, but the community has given me the motivation and courage to make small step out of my comfort zone. A military family moved into the house across from me last week. A new family so close gave me a lot of anxiety. I built up the confidence and introduced myself today. I actually felt comfortable talking with them and I invited them over for dinner later 😊 the military hasn’t delivered any of their things yet so they’ve been eating fast food all week. I thought this would be a warm welcoming to the neighborhood and encourage me to socialize. I’m very introverted and have extreme social anxiety. I’m staying positive that this will go well. Thanks for letting me share! And thanks even more for the inspiration to grow as a person!

Omgeee this is really biiig! 💛 I am soooo proud of youu for trying to overcome the anxious thoughts and hesitations and taking it a step forward by also inviting them over for dinner, such a kind, thoughtful gesture on your part. 🥰
I’m happy that this community played catalyst in empowering you and making you feel positively about the new neighbours!
Hope the dinner goes well. What’s on the menu? XD

This is meaningful, having them over for dinner is such a compassionate thing to do. Keep putting good out into the world, your impact will creates smiles, give joy to others :). It's okay to feel nervous or timid, but your doing caring things by being yourself, and also being involved in the community. You should be proud, cause we are of you 💙.
