Let’s Play the “Grati-Toss” Game! 💕🎉
Let’s toss some gratitude around like confetti! 🎉🌈
Hey beautiful humans! 💛
Today we’re playing a game I call “Grati-Toss!”
Here’s how it works:
1. Share one thing you’re grateful for today 💬✨ (Big or small—doesn’t matter!)
2. “Toss” a gratitude prompt to the next person by tagging them or leaving a fun question! 🎯👋
Example:
“I’m grateful for warm socks on a chilly morning! 🧦❄️
@NextPerson — What’s a sound you’re thankful for? 🔊”
Need some prompt ideas? Try tossing one of these:
• A smell you love 👃🍪
• A moment that made you smile this week 😊⏳
• A kind thing someone did for you 🤗💌
• A place that brings you peace 🌅🛶
• A song that lifts your mood 🎶💃
• Something silly you’re grateful for 🐸🎈
Let’s get a whole gratitude chain going! ⛓️💖
Feel free to jump in anytime and respond to others’ prompts, too!
And if you’re having a tough day—you’re still welcome here. 🫂 Sometimes just reading what others are thankful for can help shift the vibe.
Let’s flood this thread with goodness, one Grati-Toss at a time! 🌊✨
You in?
I’ll go first:
I’m grateful for belly laughs that come out of nowhere. 😂
@AnyoneReading — What’s something in nature you’re thankful for? 🌳☀️
@KaylaBella I'm grateful for the willow tree in the garden 😁 it's my favourite spot in the whole world 💖
next person..... Who are you most grateful for in your life?
@Tinywhisper11
I absolutely love this! 💖 You know, a willow tree symbolizes quiet resilience—the kind of strength that bends with the storm rather than breaking. It teaches us that there’s beauty in flexibility, in feeling deeply, and in allowing ourselves to weep when needed, yet still remain rooted. Its long, flowing branches mirror the emotional depth of those who’ve been through much but still choose to grow gracefully, even in difficult soil. That’s why I absolutely love those trees, and I can see why it’s your favorite place in the whole world!! 💕💕💕✨✨✨
@KaylaBella 🙂💖 yes that all makes so much sense, thanks for making me smile💖💖 my sons cross is under that tree, I love to go and sit there talk to God and my son, and watch the sunrise, it's so peaceful💖
@KaylaBella
I am most grateful for Jesus but I assume you mean a person I have met. So that's a hard question @Tinywhisper11 I am extremely grateful to both my parents for raising me. I am also super grateful to my older sisters who always love and are there for me. I am extremely grateful to all my grandparents and especially Grandpop I have never met a man as kind and wise as him, and never cried harder than at his funeral. But the person I am must grateful for would have to be my mother, I am definitely not grateful enough. She every night without fail for years and years would sit with me and tell my stories to help me go to sleep, I am especially grateful for that considering I generally take at least 30 mins to go to sleep and semi regular take hours. Love you Momma!
Next person . . . What's a book you're grateful to have read?
@7Bear7 that's so beautiful 💗 I'm sorry about the loss of your grandpop😥 it seems like you have a really loving family 💗
@Tinywhisper11
Thank you, it's been several years since he passed but he was definitely amazing! There is a lot I wish I could have done with him but I was young and am super grateful for all the things we did do! 🩵
(I almost said I loved that man to death and then realized 💀)
@7Bear7 yeah that line would be real bad timing😂😂
I'm glad you got to have him in your life 💖
@7Bear7
Wow, this touched my heart—thank you for sharing something so personal and beautiful. Your love for your family shines through every word, and the way you spoke about your mom brought tears to my eyes. The image of her sitting with you night after night just to help you fall asleep… that’s the kind of quiet, powerful love that stays with us forever. And your words about your Grandpop were so moving—it sounds like he left an incredible legacy. You’re so blessed to have such strong, loving people in your life. Thank you for reminding me how important it is to cherish the ones who show up for us, day after day.
Much love,
Kayla 💕🌈
@KaylaBella
I am glad it could touch you in a good way. My mother is amazing not perfect as no one is but truly amazing! I don't generally show her the love I need to and should but I make sure to hug her every night and tell her I love her! My Grandpop definitely left a legacy on all his grandchildren. I am the youngest grandchild but the impact he left on me was great I can't imagine what he left on my older cousins. We all loved him and grandmama, truly wonderful and loving people! 🩵🩵🩵🩵
I'm thankful for the bright sunlight today. My spirit is lifted. 😊❤️
@NextPerson what's that special moment you're thankful about? 🎈
@effangajr
Awww I love this! Sunlight is so healing. ☀
I would say my most special moment that I am thankful for is the letter I received from a client before she left my facility. In a place where she felt like she had no one, and none of the other techs would talk to her for some reason, I was the one who sat and listened to her and showed her love, and she said I saved her life. That I gave her hope again. I read that letter quite often on hard days. Working in the recovery and mental health field can be challenging and there are days I want to just give up. But that letter reminds me of what I have been called to do in life and that there are more people just like her that need that listening ear. So in a way, her letter gives me hope and a focus when I am feeling down or discouraged or at my wits end.
@Heather225 I choose you 😁 Sooo.... I think I'm going to ask the same question as @effangajr because it's a super awesome question. What is a special moment that you are most thankful for? 💕
@KaylaBella
Hiiiii Bellla💖Thankyouu for this amazing prompt!
I am grateful for writing a forum post on Cups today! It was deep because I could feel an inner sense of gratefulness for life! Sharing my heart out here always makes me happy! And gives a satisfaction that I'm contributing something to this world!
@KaylaBella I would ask a question, "What is one thing about nature that you observed closely and had a smile on your face?" (Could be a butterfly, flowers anything) I know you are a nature lover🌎
@resilience2025
Ohhh that's an awesome thing to be happy and grateful for!!! <3 💕 Keep shining that bright light of yours! You never know who's dark path you will illuminate. ✨ Sending you tons of love!!
Hmmm, one thing about nature that made me smile 🤔 I would have to say, along my drive way there are rose bushes and they are in full bloom. They are pink and white, and while I was looking at the bushes just admiring them, a hummingbird flew by!! It made me smile because my Granny who passed away 2 years ago loved hummingbirds. It was almost like a sign that she was with me.
Another moment in nature that made me smile was watching the rabbits at my work run across the field and the hills. The way they hop and run is so cute to me. And another moment would be when I went hiking, this was maybe a year or two ago, it was fall and we reached a spot that was just breathtaking with all of the colors and the sun shining through the trees.
@KaylaBella
@KaylaBella I saw a squirrel at the back of the garden yesterday 😁 he was sooooo cute, when he ran up the tree he ran in circles up the trunk😁😁😁
next question🤔🤔 what one thing about yourself do you love the most??
@Tinywhisper11
Aww i love that!! I love watching the squirrels try to climb the bird feeders. But I coated the pole with grease so it's funny to just watch them slide back down 😂
I'd have to say I love my resilience. I love that the most because no matter how many times I get knocked down, no matter how bad I might have been hurt, I dig deep and find the strength to get up, dust myself off, and keep going. 💕
@KaylaBella 💖 you are inspiring💖
@KaylaBella
I am grateful for waking up early in the morning.
@jesusredeemedme2425
What went well today?
I went driving, got lost, accidentally ended up on the freeway… And discovered the most GORGEOUS vista I’ve seen in quite awhile! A huge, beautiful lake, verdant, rolling hills… Beautiful <3
@BastionKnight
What’s the best part about your recovery process? What are you super thankful for during this time? <3
@jesusredeemedme2425
The best part about my recovery process is feeling more and more like me again (although I think the sensation of luxuriating in the morning sunlight that streams into my room whilst I do physio exercises in bed is also a contender for best part). I am grateful that clever peeps spend a great deal of their time learning to become surgeons, and then perform magical marvels that only these master meat mechanics can make.
But what I am most grateful for is that all of you people out there exist. My personal reasons for it are unimportant, but it thrills, delights, comforts, calms, and encourages me every single day.
*With a little legerdemain, makes two confetti balls from one and throws them to @PineTreeTree, and @azurePond* - Which word(s) bring you the greatest pleasure?
@BastionKnight
This is so beautifully said—it truly warms my heart. One of the most incredible gifts of recovery is getting to feel like yourself again, layer by layer. I remember when I first started mine, I was just trying to survive—addiction, trauma, depression... it all had me so lost. But with each sober day, I slowly began recognizing myself again too. And now, 3+ years sober, working in the recovery field and helping others, I still have moments where I just pause and feel so grateful—grateful to be alive, to be healing, and to be surrounded by souls like yours who share light just by being real.
Thank you for being part of that light. Keep soaking in that sunshine—you deserve every beautiful second. 🌞💛
@KaylaBella
*Bows humbly and smiles* There is no need for thanks. It is a pleasure and an honour being amongst such excellent folks as yourself and all the other wonderful people here.
@KaylaBella
I am grateful to my parents and the life they are given me ❤️
Next person- What is one personality trait that you have are you most grateful for? Eg-kindness, empathy or something else?
@annie1710
That’s so beautiful—being grateful for your parents is such a powerful thing. There’s something really special about recognizing the love and foundation they’ve given you. ❤️
For me, I’d say I’m most grateful for my resilience. I’m adopted, and while my mom may not have brought me into this world, she gave me a place in it—and the strength to become the person I am today. Life hasn’t been easy—there’s been addiction, trauma, and heartbreak—but somehow, I’ve kept going. That resilience has been my anchor and my light, and I’m so thankful for it. 💛
@KaylaBella what a refreshing prompt, thank you 🥰💜 I'm greatful for my eleven year old nephew whose my best friend. When ive had the worst of days, his smile, his laughter, his energy, his way of looking at the world keep me going, his creativity, his outlook, he gets me up everyday, I prayed to God for love and he sent me the best ♥️
