Paper Plate someone (outside 7cups)
While its great to appreciate our friends on 7cups Id really like to know about who people value highly in their non-digital lives.
I love the idea of Paper Plates nominations and Ive submitted mine. Im going to plagiarise the idea (hope I'm forgiven) and ask in this thread for nominating a title for someone from their real lives.
Name one relation (family, friend, teacher, etc) whom you respect/ cherish/ celebrate and share your reason for it. They could also be someone who has passed away but left an impact on your heart.
Make a creative title for them
Give 5 or more reasons why they are honored by the title youve chosen
Sorry you won't get any paper plates - just this thread where I look forward to learning about you . ♥️♥️♥️

My nomination:
My mother
Most Unwavering Devotion
Reasons: 1. She has been my hug buddy since I was a child 2. She didn't stop loving me with my mistakes - unconditional love 3. She saved my life (long story) 4. She may not always have the best parenting skills - we have had issues with control - but her intentions are crystal clear to all. She would drive herself mad in her unwavering devotion to her children. 5. I know her prayers are bringing me good 6. She forgave me for my behavior that wasn't right at times. Forgave me in a second. I dont know how she has such big of a heart. 7. She is my role model on working for the institute of family even when there are endless hardships 8. She did this all in spite of not having long term parental support - her mother died when she was a teen.
There are probably a hundred other reasons that Id find but this space is limited and I want to respect time of those reading it. I just know God chose her to be my mother because she was the only one best for the job. She is not my family by genetic connection alone, she is family by spiritual connection.

My nomination:
Myself
Most Resilient Heart
Reasons:
-
I am still here, even when it feels like everything is falling apart.
-
Even on days when I feel worthless, I find a way to keep going.
-
I sometimes feel like I don’t deserve the good things in my life, but I try to accept them anyway.
-
I’ve learned to forgive myself for the times I felt weak, because I know I am trying.
-
I may not always feel proud of myself, but I can still see the small victories, and that matters.
Sometimes, it’s hard to find light when you’re in a dark place, but I am proud that I keep looking for it. It’s not easy, and some days it feels impossible, but I know that I’m not giving up on myself, even if I feel lost.
@eman144 thank you for sharing yourself with us. And telling us about your progress so we can pluck some wisdom from it too. You are not alone in your struggles . And you are indeed resilient and compassionate. ❤️

@Creamyyy
1. My friend who used to live with me.
2. Devil redeemed.
3. Reasons: 1. Chose to give me time and kindness despite my history of mental illness. 2. Playfully calls himself the devil yet has a heart of gold. 3. Is committed to improvement, recognising the error of his ways. 4. A powerful philosophical partner, he has inspired part of my writing. 5. I feel we need each other. I hope to show him he should feel no shame in feeling.
He is almost ten years younger than me but is wise beyond his years. He also struggled in school like me, but his mind is sharp. I do worry about him...
