What are you grateful for today?

I’ve heard that gratitude helps shift our mindset into a more positive state when practiced regularly. Name 5 things you’re very grateful for this morning and reflect on why you’re grateful on them in the comments.

  1. Being in my child's life again.

  2. My dog.

  3. My place to stay.

  4. My desire to be healthier.

  5. Almost being off probation.

It took a year to destroy my life when I started shooting up ice. And it's taken me 3 to 5 years to try to pick up the mess. But I am so grateful to be off the needle and in recovery. I still struggle with relapses but I have not let it beat me. I'm almost out of all trouble legally and I've been setting hard boundaries with people because I don't want to risk any of the progress I've been making. I am happy with what little I have. I don't want to ever lose my control over my life the way I did when I started shooting up. I'm so grateful that I was able to come back from that, some people never do.
