The Art of Letting Go
Hello, Everyone! Hope you are doing great and having an amazing time!
Welcome to Day 3 of the "Let it Go" Event.

Letting go is something we have all had to do at some point in our lives and will continuously have to practice for as long as we live. To let something/someone go is to accept that they will no longer be a part of our lives and to live with it as positively as we can. It is not always the easiest thing to do. The more the attachment, the harder it is to let go. But of course, with some help, should one need it, it is totally possible to work on our feelings and move ahead on our path.
“Sometimes letting things go is an act of far greater power than defending or hanging on.”

Letting go is an entire process and happens over time, at one’s own pace. It cannot be rushed or slowed, but it can be facilitated. Some ways to help one let go include-
-
Practice letting everything breathe: notice that you’re breathing and that you can control it. Slowly, you can also divert your attention to other parts of you and let them breathe as well. Pick up objects in the room you’re in, and accept them as they are. Accept other people in the room with you, as they are too- just breathing, living, being themselves.
-
Practice accepting your present reality and just floating: Truth be told, inner peace begins the moment you take a new breath and choose not to allow an uncontrollable event to dominate you in the present. You are not what happened to you. You are what you choose to become at this moment. Let go, breathe, and begin again.
-
Renew your faith in yourself: A big part of practicing letting go is gradually renewing your faith in yourself. This ‘renewed faith’ means finding the willingness to live with uncertainty, to feel your way through each day, to let your intuition guide you like a flashlight in the dark. It’s about standing firmly on your own two legs without the crutches you’ve been holding on to. And YOU ARE strong enough!

Thanks for making this post! Something I would like to let go of today has to be my overwhelming need to always be in control because it puts a lot of stress upon me sometimes when things do not go how i plan :/ how about you?
Thank you for writing the amazing content for the post! I completely understand the need to be in control as uncertainty leaves us vulnerable and stressed. I hope you can let go of it and fully embrace the unpredictable life we all lead especially this past year.
Something I need to let go of is worrying about the future as I constantly worry that nothing will go as planned which has been quite true due to the pandemic!

What are some things that you would like to 'Let Go' today?
Something that I would like to 'let go' today is my need to overthink my future. Thinking about it and planning for it is definitely important, but I tend to spend hours of my time overthinking each aspect, which is something I definitely need to work on.
It's good to know that you wish to let go of overthinking about the future. It is something that I believe we all suffer from at some point in our life. It is very relatable. Hope you would able to let go of it and embrace the future with both hands!
Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts with us. Have a great day ahead!

Thank you for this wonderful post! I'm currently working on letting go of some past events that have affected my life very badly. And as you mentioned, it's really not easy to do. I have to work on accepting the changes it brought along, and then finally let it go. :)
I'm glad you liked the post! :)
It's so great to know that you are working on letting go of the past. I truly hope you will succeed in that.
Thank you so much for sharing it with us. Have a beautiful day ahead!
I think it's being a little anti-social. Because someone hurt me in the past doesn't mean I have to keep isolating myself from others. It's something that restricts me. It keeps me away from pain but also happiness. You can't be happy if you cannot tell the other about your satisfaction. I know people is something I miss but it's still hard to open up. I hope I'll be strong enough to let go of that fear and move on.
Hope you have a great day and keep fighting because there's a lot to be fighting for. Take care <3
It is so nice to know that you are ready to let go of your fear and set it free. I completely agree with you that true happiness can be experienced if we open ourselves to new experiences even if they scare us.
I truly hope you'll be able to take that leap of faith and fin nothing but happiness and success!
Have a wonderful day ahead!
