Thank you cups, for changing my life

A year ago, I was frustrated. 

I've always had this urge, this need, calling almost, to help people. I've loved helping people from a really young age, but as i grew older, in face of all the terrible things in the world, i slowly began to desensitize myself from other people's suffering, to protect myself from losing myself in empathy. But i think it became too much, because towards the end of last year, I realised, I'd completely lost touch with the part of myself that cared. That wanted to give, to support, to spread warmth. And that was when I made it my new years resolution to try to give back to society by helping people, in any way I can. That was where I found 7cups, frantic research and scrolling through the internet trying to find a corner where I could spread some love, make the world a better place. 

It's been almost 5 months in, and I can definitely say Cups has changed my life. 

Thank you to cups for giving me a platform for me to channel my passion and desire to help, in a way that actually connects with people who need it. I have found so much fulfillment, joy and peace being here, and it is so much more than what I thought it would be initially. I now find myself surrounded by a wonderful community- I have had the opportunity to take up wonderful leadership roles, and community positions. I have met spectacular people who have shaped me into the person that I am today, I have had so many special moments and memories with people here that I will forever cherish in my heart. 

I have learnt so much about myself, grown so much, as a listener, and as a person. It is a never ending journey and I'm so excited to see where this takes me.
