Hey there, amazing 7 cups community! Lets celebrate Roadies contributions to this community. 
Roadie was my mentor, and an amazing one, to be sure. That said, I really feel it is appropriate that as he chooses to conclude, or take a break from his approximately one and a half years of being a listener here, we celebrate his contributions.

There are so many things to say about @Roadie, and so many ways I want to thank him for changing my life. But, instead, here's a Top 5 of things I adore about you, dear Roadstool.
❶ Inclusiveness
You model what it truly means to welcome all to this humble abode, you show recognition to all, whether it's an admin or a guest, you spread your awesomeness to all who cross the 7Cups path.
❷ Compassion
You are, hands down, one of the most amazingly compassionate human beings I have ever seen. You care about the little things and that reminds me of how goodness still exists in the world. The warmth and understanding in your words are second to none.
❸ Encouragement
You share words of motivation to any person who needs that extra boost and what will always stick in my mind are 1) your supportive words to after my age confession and 2) your contribution to one of my leaving group shoutouts. You are one in a lifetime.
❹ Forum Awesomeness
Like we've discussed before, you're totally Lord Protractor of the forums. Your forum posts are unrivalled in their sincerity and total brilliance.
❺ Role Model
You're a guiding spirit, a shining light and a total star, in all honesty. In so many ways, you've mentored me without us even exchanging a word with each other. It's been an honour learning from you and respecting you from afar. Have I mentioned that you, along with @OliviaButler, @Shanna and @AdventuRin, were my very first forum role models who I glimpsed and dreamed of getting to know? You are so wonderful.
Man, it was hard limiting this to 5 things! Thank you, sweet one, for making my life so much brighter while you exist. If you ever (and I mean ever) need some extra warm words, give me a yell. Stay you, because there's no one as special as you.
Roadie is a listener I have great respect for! Our interactions were rarely in a direct manner so it's quite likely he didn't even realize how much he was helping at times. I suspect there's a fair number of people like me, little or no direct communication who benefitted for Roadie's forum posts or group chat messages.

It's very bad that I did not get the chance to be a closer friend. As others mentioned above, I have heard nothing but beautiful things about you, and I think your positive effect will remain here forever. Thank you for all the beautiful things you did here, even the ones I'm not aware of, thank you for supporting others, and thank you for being who you are.

Ahhh Roadie, you already know how much respect I have for you, and I hope you realise how brilliant you have been here, your continuous support to our members and listeners is just truly amazing and comes from a really good genuine heart, your one of 7cups national treasure and your legacy will live on here, you will always be remembered. When Roadie's anniversary was coming up last year, I was asked to provide a little congratulatory message that would be combined with others for a nice surprise for Roadie. Here's what I wrote:
Roadie . . . Roadie . . . Roadie . . . What can I say?
--That youve made me smile a hundred times when I read your forum posts?
--That I learned to write better forum posts by reading yours?
--That your warmth and good humor shine through your words, even without hearts and smileys that the rest of us use?
--That I see you everywhere at 7 Cups supporting, encouraging, comforting, welcoming, and offering solid, sensible, comments that I wish I had written?
nThat, when I wrote you to inquire whether the appreciation team could perhaps honor my twin in the Honoring Listeners thread, you not only wrote a lovely tribute to her -- but you wrote one about me, too?!! (Actually, that was kind of sneaky, you!)
n That you bring a solid, down-to-earth common sense to forum discussions that often makes me want to stand up and cheer?
n That, despite how busy you are with school and family and work, you answer my messages thoughtfully and promptly?
n That you sent me a message last week that was so encouraging and wonderful that I think Ill print it out, frame it, and read it every day?
n That your existence is one of the great arguments for cloning human beings?
Hmmmm. What Ill say is this:
Thank you for EVERYTHING. Thank you for helping us become better listeners. Thanks for making 7 Cups a happier place.

@Roadie, you are an awesomely friendly and funny guy, a brilliant, caring, genuine listener and you really set the example for me when I was starting out here. One of the things I learned from you is the importance of being on 7 Cups for all the right reasons, not getting caught up in all the community drama but just quietly getting on with the job of being there for people. I really appreciate that.

I had the chance to meet him on a few ocasions and he was always polite, helpful, and welcoming toward me. Helped me out on more than one ocasion and that really helped me out when I was starting out here, Thanks Roadie!!!
