Hi Rule! 😊❤️ Thank you so very much for your amazing forum post as well as for tagging me! ❤️ I feel like, your forum post is one that we could all benefit from reading, over and over and over again! As for me, I sat here and read it three times over, in succession! These are messages that I need to hear! I'm even going to bookmark this so I can read it again in the future. 😊❤️😊

I feel as if, these are things that I intellectually know and are truly part of my belief system. Conditions remind me of the word "boundaries" and it's so healthy to have them. Many times, we, as kind people will set boundaries, try to "set the bar" and then to simply see others *limbo* underneath them. It can be an incredibly frustrating experience, a heart breaking experience and at times we can end up questioning ourselves........because we are kind.

People that are highly insistent in not respecting our boundaries, many times do not have our best interests at heart. These are the "me" people of the world, all about my needs, my wants and the intention can be to simply wear someone down and to a nub until we finally "fold like a cheap suit". They can try to burden us, manipulate us, use any means necessary to get what they want. It's so incredibly sad, it really is!

Over time, I have come to learn that maybe sometimes boundaries is more about me, training me, than about training anyone else around me. If I set the boundary, it's not respected, then I need to have the courage to simply walk away. This can be hard for incredibly kind people if there is projection, blame shifting, scape goating, manipulation, gas lighting, baiting and goading, triangulation, etc.

Rule, thank you my friend! Thank you for this wonderful reminder! You are telling us that we are not alone. It's okay to have conditions and boundaries. I feel as if your forum post is quite brilliant in that not only will it potentially help others here on 7 cups but also in real life situations too.

A quote that I came across once, really helps me personally when it's all finally coming to an end with someone that cannot respect conditions or boundaries. "Your job wouldn't be to dictate their feelings, but instead your limits." Some times it can become a hard line unflinchingly enforced.

it took me like multiple of times to understand this and i finally understood the messages behind it. Thank you for reminding us of this. i don't know how i ended up getting tagged here but i truly appreciate it xD Surely without the conditional positivity, it could lead us to the unwanted paths that we should avoid from going through it. These conditions are essential to us as we're walking in our life.
