When was the last time you cried your heart out?

  3. Dulls pain
  4. Improves mood
  5. Rallies support
  6. Helps you recover from grief
  7. Restores emotional balance
  8. Helps baby breathe

@trueconfidant123 Thank you for the reminder that it's ok to cry. I love the benefits of releasing tears. I, personally, have always found relief in crying and have no issues of shredding tears. Sometimes I cry when I am sad, angry, or hurt. Sometimes I cry when my heart is so full and when I'm happy. And sometimes I just cry to cry when it's quiet and my thoughts run wild. I tend to bottle up things inside sometimes always trying to be strong Desiree so seeing your post gives me the reminder that I need to release some tears later on when my mood hits. ♡

@YourCaringConfidant

I'm a big crier, too. It makes me feel better. I know when I'm super stressed or anxious, a good cry always makes me feel like a weight is lifted off me.

@trueconfidant123 ç

Thank you for your inspiring and informative post!

I fully agree.

Letting our sadness surface in such a pure, unadulterated way is very healthy.

A negative view of crying ("I am crying a lot, how bad!") might be an instance of the "kIIing the messenger" effect.

Sad things happen, and that is truly bad.

But expressing openly our sadness from that, is truly good.

Another side of the coin is the delusion that if we don't express things, if we deny them, they don't happen, they haven't happened.

So we might stiffen our face and contain our tears expecting that, this way, nothing sad has happened.

On the contrary, acknowledging the truth, and expressing our genuine emotions about it, is an expression of sanity and the path of further healing.

Crying is a big part of that.
