Grieving What Could Have Been…
Have you ever grieved… potential? Something that could have been, but never was? Tell us your story… You’re safe here <3
@jesusredeemedme2425
I grieved that I could have been a great mother, really believe it was meant for me but didn't work that way 💜
You’re a wonderful auntie though <3

Thank God for my five nephews and my niece 😊

I think the grieving for potential is one of the things that makes it hard to let go ... people hold on to relationships / jobs or situations because they always saw potential and possibility.
I feel we have all done it ........wondered what if ...or if we had a do-over. potential is fun in the moment when it is just a fantasy.
@jesusredeemedme2425 For some reason I continually grieve friends I've know, oddly the loss of family seems to affect me less. Just best friends or close friends who die stick with me, and the same with break ups, its hard to forget people you once dated, not sure if that's a form of grieving.
@genericbeing
sits with you, thanks for sharing can hear the weight of your words and how this has imacted you greatly
@jesusredeemedme2425 every day. Complete and utter burnt out gifted kid. I wonder what would have been if I am socialised properly. If I get help from my school for my ADHD. If I'm not growing up so sheltered. If I didn't get so mentally destroyed. I could have been someone worthy. Instead, I'm a failure in imaginary cat ears.

You are NOT a failure. Don’t listen to the lies. <3
@jesusredeemedme2425 thank you 🌻
@jesusredeemedme2425 i could have been smart.
no, really! i had opportunity, good teachers, and...the actual ability. but, well, i didnt see any point. in anything xD only last year i felt a little spirit, a little hope.
maybe a little too late.
and i could have been gentler, too, but that's a story for another day.
You ARE smart. And gentle. Honest <3
