I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm sure you get to hear that a lot. It hurts that people can't do more than just offer condolences and whats even more hurtful is when we get to hear things that completely invalidate our feelings.
This is a safe space for you to talk about your dad however much you'd like and we'll honor your dad with you.
What's the most special memory you hold of him?
Lots of Love ♡

I’m so sorry for your loss. Losing a parent is such a hard experience especially when he has been a constant in your life for 40 years. When we lose a parent we lose more than just a person - we lose a huge part of ourselves.
My heart goes out to you and everyone who has had to go through such a thing. He sounds like a wonderful man. If you ever want to talk, my door is always open.
If there was one memory you could relive with him what would it be?

@countrygirl9988 I am so unbelievably sorry for the loss of your lovely daddio❤️ Although they shape us into the beautiful people we are- there is never enough time with a loved one❤️ thank you for feeling brave to share your grief journey. Huge hugs x
It's sad to hear that. I know daughters are often deeply connected to their fathers, and this love is rooted in the heart. But when, by the law of nature, someone has to depart, it inevitably creates a void. Yet, is it truly a void?
Believe that your dad was one of the best people in your life—a supportive, loving, and affectionate soul. Now that he is not physically present, why not hold on to those qualities and share that goodness with others? Life moves in cycles. When you receive kindness and love, it becomes your responsibility to pass it on to those who deserve it most.
When you do this, I am certain you will feel joy, and that is exactly what your dad always wanted for you.
Be brave, be happy, and never forget to bring smiles to the faces of those who deserve it the most.
If your dad were reading my words, he would surely say to you: "Rise and shine, kiddo. Never give up."

It sounds like you had a lot of great memories with your father and it is understandable to miss him, especially during significant moments in your life (birthdays, holidays, etc). Two years, in the grand scheme of things, is not a lot of passing of time. I lost my grandfather back in 2019 and sometimes, it still hurts so I get it. I saw something online the other day that I think you might like. It said something about 'what if when we think of our loved one and miss them, it is because our loved one is sharing a story about us up in heaven?'. Now I don't know if you believe in Heaven or anything similar, but I couldn't help my smile when I saw that.

You are welcome. I can understand how it has been hard getting used to life without your father. It sounds like he was a very significant person in your life and that it really affected you. I am glad that you have been able to get back into reading and that it is helping you process your grief.
