Help Us Shape the Future of Our Rooms Rooms (Adult-side Survey)
Hi everyone. As our community continues to grow, we want to make sure our chat rooms are serving you in the best way possible. We know that wellness and connection look different from day to day. Sometimes, you need a quiet space for deep, focused emotional support. Other times, the best support is simply sharing a laugh, talking about your hobbies, and hanging out in a safe, mature environment.
We want to make sure we have the right spaces for both of those needs! We are exploring the idea of adding a few new "Social Support" rooms. These would be dedicated spaces for lighter, community-focused topics like hobbies, pets, and entertainment etc., while still maintaining the safe, supportive guardrails you expect from 7 Cups.
This is where we need your input. To ensure our rooms stay active, safe, and well-supported by our moderators, we can only keep a certain number of rooms open at one time. Because we have a cap on the total number of rooms, we want your voice to help us prioritize what themes and spaces are most important to you right now.

I often spend time in the chat rooms, but to be honest I usually lean more toward light conversations than serious topics. Most of the time I already feel a bit overwhelmed or frustrated, so coming into the chat rooms helps me breathe a little and reset my mind.
That’s why I’m really glad to hear about the idea of Social Support rooms. Having a space where people can just talk about hobbies, pets, random interests, or simply share a few laughs sounds really comforting. Sometimes that kind of simple connection helps more than anything else.
I’ve completed the form and just wanted to say thank you for thinking about creating spaces like this. It truly feels like something I’ve been needing in this community. I’m really grateful ❤️

When it comes to preferred interests among the "light" topics, I still find myself leaning towards the meditative and inspirational stuff. That kind of thing can be light as well. I like sharing music too, but most of it can fit into the "inspirational" category. Hopefully, there can be rooms to accommodate each mentioned category.
A Meditation student asks their teacher how long it will take them to gain enlightenment if they practice diligently.
"Ten years," says the teacher.
"Well, how about if I really work and double my effort?"
"Twenty years."
