I've never been one to really celebrate Easter.

I miss seeing my friends and being outside though, a few of their birthdays always fall around Easter and we'd have paintball fights if it were normal.

Nice nebula cloud...I wish I could play paintball and dreamed of buying a land and building a circuit so you can drive junk cars while shooting paintballs...

This is the worst Easter for me ever. My family did Easter with Zoom, so I just saw them all on my computer. A good friend died this week and I'm still hurting. Today really is just sadness and pain.

My family and I usually dress up and go to Mass to celebrate Easter, either for the vigil Mass on Saturday night or the mid Mass on Sunday. This year we didn't do that of course, and we didn't dress up at all. We had to watch the Mass online instead. We still got to search for Easter baskets and eggs with coins in them, though! We're not having a feast this year because we didn't really have all of the stuff to prepare for it. Other than that though, it's mostly the same. Just a very quiet, calm Easter.

This Easter is different for me, because normally we go see my Dad's side of the family. Due to this virus and my grandmother passing away before the whole virus started, we wouldn't have had Easter this year with all my cousins, aunts & uncles, & my grandma.

I renewed my faith and instead of being upset that this Easter is different because the world has gone Virtual, I embraced the power of Virtual gains. I attended Sunday serve with a group online, and reached out to my peers to remind them of how blessed we are to be Alive still able to enjoy life's pleasures

Now more than ever, Im appreciating all the wonderful things there are in the world, and the good life that I have.

I feel truly blessed that we have such a great global infrastructure, and that things are running as well as they are. I appreciate all the people who are providing us vital services.

I appreciate that our health care systems run as well as they do, all our health care professionals, related services, and workers.

I keep thinking about the Spanish flu pandemic of 1918, and how far weve come in managing health crises. This is going remarkably well: The spread is slowing, the vast majority of people are cooperating, following recommended practices, most people who are getting sick are recovering.

It feels to me like we are all being reborn, rising above this crisis to become better versions of ourselves. Surely this is what Jesuss example was all about, and what he hoped would be the benefit of it to humanity.
