Wellness Accountability Huddles: Monday Kick-Off Week 2 (May 4)
Welcome to Week 2. Just a quick reminder to grab the SMART goals template I shared on Friday if you haven't already, and get yourself set up: SMART goals template.
You are also welcome to use a different kind of system if another serves you better. And if you do use something else, please share it with the group! We’re always looking to expand our options to accommodate our diverse ways of learning and processing!
I have put together a checklist of all of our to-do items each week whcih should help stay on track if you miss time or feel yourself falling behind: Grab it here!
Our 24/7 asynchronous Huddle thrives on our collective presence, ensuring no one pursues wellness alone. For the rest of this cycle, please check in at least three days a week—ideally daily—to share your progress and struggles, ask for help, and support your peers. While the Huddle flow is asynchronous to accommodate our global timezone differences, anyone can host live sessions for people to come to. If you're open to volunteering to host a live session at whatever day or time is convenient for you, PM me for details! Let's build a culture of showing up for one another and rock this Huddle!
Huddle tag!

Here are my SMART-ified goals:
- Secure reliable income - Apply to 10 jobs per week; follow up with at least 3 of those employers
- Continue pursuing content creation - Record, edit, publish and repurpose at least 2 long form videos per week; upon evaluation, I'd like to increase to at least 4 videos by the beginning of Week 4.
- Maintain regular self-care - Establish a schedule for yoga and meditation; complete both exercises at least 3 times per week; upon evaluation, I'd like to increase to at least 5 times per week by the beginning of Week 4.
These goals feel much more solid and doable for this round. I'm excited!

@DustOfSnow
You've done an excellent job breaking these down! You're ready to go, good luck!
My goal-setting is a little bit more loosey-goosey than some maybe, but this is what I've been doing. I've been focusing on my core strength and addressing my low back pain. I've mainly just been trying to stay on top of self-care and my personal health care, (hygiene, water etc,) even if I'm not feeling that good, by taking breaks in between things and sticking to my checklist on Finch. so far so good, even though I was hit with a bit of a flare right at the beginning. I'm still going strong and feeling better. back brace is helping. good luck everyone! you can do it!
@memyselfandmoth
It sounds like you've got a solid idea of what you're doing! We're here cheering for you!
Ty! 😊

Goals
goal 1 health goal going to appointments eating healthier self care to stay as well as we can also taking meds daily not skipping them part of the time
goal 2 being honest about how we feel not just saying ok or fine even when we not so to stop covering up how we feel emotionally with ok or fine
Measurable
will measure this by getting note book and writing down in it when we do what in our goals also write when we not doing goal reason for setbacks
achievable
keeping notes about each of them , using small steps goals to help with each goal asking for help when we struggling too
we know we can do both the goals above just got to get with it
Relevant
the goals will help us in our daily life and help us break bad habits we have
timely
not see any deadlines in our goals as will be on going with small goals as stepping stones so more about keeping records of what we doing and being accountable in huddle to others
we do have like a reasonable time in doing the small goals like setting up our meds in med trys so be easy to take goal for that one time a week not just taking meds out of bottles each time need them
final smart goal statement
we will improve our overall health both physically and mentally with focus on emotions being honest about them more will track goals in notebook daily aim to achieving the goals is more improving them over next few weeks and on

@HappySpecter
thank you when we was shopping today at Aldi we found a wellness journal with stuff to fill in on every part of ones being even emotions and eating was odd finding it there but we bought it even came with affirmation cards that have one on one side and a coloring thing on other side we was so excited to find that was like 8 dollars came with stickers too and a pen
so we going to use that to help too it had like journal pages that you can write anything on this kinda what we feel we needed to kick start our journey on meeting our over all wellness goals
@stormieandpaws
That journal sounds really helpful. I'm gonna check my Aldi to see if they have it here. Thanks for the tip!
