What is Mental Health?

Simply, its the wellbeing of our minds. Mentally being healthy and safe from different illnesses. Theres so many mental illnesses these days, which millions of people are suffering from. And daily, we lose so many precious lives due to it sadly.

Why do we celebrate a Mental Health Awareness month?

Yes, May is officially the Mental Health Awareness month. As said before, because so many are suffering from mental illnesses we should really try to make others more aware of this. Usually, mental illnesses are hidden and kept inside. Not everyone has the courage to open up about it and so many misunderstand them. That is why we should make others more aware of mental health.

What are the most common mental illnesses?

Depression: I believe all of us have heard the word at least. Depression is so common around the world and its one of the most toxic illnesses. Those who suffer from Depression can also find it hard to understand themselves which in turn, makes them hard to express what they feel to others. Its basically feeling nothing, feeling so numb and empty. Some Depression types: Major depressive disorder, Seasonal affective disorder, Bipolar disorder.

There are many more mental illnesses as well we should talk about. What we have to keep in mind, is that all these illnesses can be linked to each other. There so many individuals who suffer from more than one mental illness which is really hard.
