@quickwittedCar9872 Of course you are, they're not always suitable for or enjoyed by everyone.

uhh

I've never really done either fully because I'm the least flexible person ever and even the standard PE stuff was always really hard. like, instead of touching my toes, i get to about my knees, and my muscles are pathetic enough that if i try to hold pose i often end up falling over.

yeaaaaaah i don't think i really belong in this debate convo...

@ReclusiveReptile You don't have to be flexible to do yoga. In fact, yoga can help strengthen your muscles and increase flexibility. And there are different types of yoga - I've just started doing Yin Yoga which is a lot easier as there's less standing involved (no touching toes!).

@ReclusiveReptile Yes, there are actually forms of yoga that are the 'Yang' part (I think ashtanga is one of them) - it's more energised yoga and more about pushing yourself further, whereas Yin yoga isn't about pushing too far but finding a balance between 'too much' and 'not enough'.

Yoga is more calming and relaxing rather than a full blown muscle ripping pilates session. So I'd recommend pilates for more hardcore stuff and yoga for the slow goers.

If A) Yoga and B) Pilates, then C) Both! and D) Neither!

My choice is D. Spring will be here soon (right?!), get some air back in the tires and take my bike on the bike trails! :) Or bring my SFO to the dog park! I'm not sure how well he will do there this year as his vision is deteriorating kind of a lot. But he and I, we could always go for a walk on the bike trails. I'm learning to be his eyes a bit more and he uses scent a TON! :) Platy

@Kate what's pilates?

@Kate. It's got ti be Yoga for me since Yoga is not just about physical strengthening but also about mental peace ☮️. It calms you down and eases the nerves.
