Cheri’s Connection Corner - Holiday Tips To Avoid Weight Gain ♥️💚❄️♥️💚❄️
December is here beautiful Cupsers!! ♥️💚♥️💚
It’s that time of year where the holiday season IS in full swing don’t allow all the work you done through the year derail this season.
What are your tips that work for you to stay on track?? What are YOUR must dos habits that you continue to commit to throughout the holiday season? 💚♥️💚♥️

@SunShineAlwaysGrateful
I remember my “Whys & my Goals”.
And I incorporate and schedule workouts & activity in my day just like anything else. I make it a “job” to move my body, eat well and take care of myself and my overall well-being (Physically, mentally & Emotionally).
I allow myself “treat” times when it’s time, and then that’s it. I’m back on track.

Holidays have always been challenging for me due to baggage I am working on getting rid of. I want to feel more positive about holidays, starting now!😊
Sounds great I am cheering you on across the miles …. You got this!
For me personally I will continue to do my calorie deficit most days enjoy the big days and keep walking ! If you build in healthy foods snacks and movement sprinkle it throughout it will be easier to stay on track …
Positivity for the win…every day it is the choices made that make the difference. One day at a time and always look in the front view moving forward never the rear view … forward with positivity and growth mindset. 🙌🙌🙌🙌💯💯💯💯💯
@SunShineAlwaysGrateful During these days, the food and stimulations come from so many different directions. Usually it's not just the days itself, but also the whole build-up, leftovers, different events or gifts like from work, at home etc.
Things I do well (tips):
- Exercise: all around the holidays but even on the "big" days, if you're going to be with family later and eat stuff, do workouts before you go to get the calorieburners on! And feel better about yourself!
- Take walks, enjoy the Christmas lights and atmosphere. Also great after meals to start burning the food.
- Replace. If you're going to have a Christmas related snack in the afternoon, while on normal days you would have your normal daily snack on that moment, take the holiday option and enjoy it, but leave the normal one. There are going to be enough normal days to have that one. Don't take the snacks on top of other snacks. This is difficult sometimes though!
- Be aware. Know that what you're eating is bad and that we all do it and it is part of the holidays, that might help you feel better and help motivate to get back on track the next day. If you know you ate a lot, that's the reality, a little bit of guilt can also motivate to do the work to burn it again.
Things I struggle with a lot:
- Portion sizes: damn, some holiday food only comes around during that time, so it feels like not making the most of it means you have to wait another whole year to get it again...
- Resetting. Yes, I know the days will be unhealthy and bad. And I do my best to compensate by being healthy on other days and working out a lot. So I can take this extra piece right, because it is already a bad day anyway... very bad and extremely bad are both just really bad. Dealing with the craving of overeating is tough!
And also, let's face it, everybody overeats at least a bit during the holidays. Its considered "normal". Ending Christmas day after dinner and being hungry would mean something went wrong and might be a bit of waste... ;)
