Digital Declutter - What's on your phone?

What (productive) apps do you have on your phone?
I'm planning on decluttering my phone to remove any unnecessary distractions.
Sadly, I have a phone that occasionally installs random apps on my phone, so I delete those often as soon as I see them. I had some dumb mobile games on there for a while when my laptop was down, but now I can probably delete the majority of them.

Also...

On your social media account, what types of topics do you follow to stay productive/healthy?

The only "social media" I have is YT, but I never really comment on there...I'm trying to remove the "junk food" type of videos from my feed/subscriptions OR at least limit watching certain contact which leads to a rabbit hole of feeling angry or annoyed...

I'm planning on subscribing to more language learning channels, art channels, and possibly fitness ones (this one is hard for me...I kind of rather just work out on my own and do my own research. I know my body won't look like the fitness guru or whatever on YT, and to be honest...not all of them are natural (that's there choice), and I want to find someone closer to my body goals if I can...and the best way to do that really is to hire a trainer who knows what they're doing and how to achieve a certain body.

o-o is it the updates that the phone company provides or is it other stuffs? Because if it's other stuffs then you need technical help.

@pandanfe Oh lol yeah...Those apps are from the phone company. I'm used to have stock OS on an unlocked phone, but decided to go with a locked phone this time that isn't stock...I'm not used to using this kind of phone. I like to have a little more control on what I do. I plan on flashing a custom rom, because I'm tired of the bloatware on it.

@ImpudentIncognito

I really liked the idea of digital decluttering. It not only saves the space on phone but also keeps us away from various distractions. And it's really wise decision to decide productive pop ups on the social media. There're many fitness gurus with fake bodies out there but also there're others who're genuinely helping out people. If you've been doing workouts for awhile, you might be already aware of what works best for your body. It's really nice to make your own set of exercise (in case you know what you want and what works for your body) and be consistent with it. And balanced diet of course is necessary. I genuinely wish your fitness journey be really amazing and you get the look you always wished for (in case that's practical).

@pandanfe For sure! It feels nicer to have a decluttered phone. I started filling my phone up when my gaming laptop went kaput. I have a new laptop now, so I I plan on deleting a lot of apps soon and possibly rooting a custom flash rom on my phone.

As far as fitness goes...
I'm just sad to find out that fitness gurus on YT end up using 'roids. ☹️ I'm not interested in getting roided up, so it's hard for me to find those who are truly natural or those who don't have follow diet fads...Just natural, normal advice. Though, I get they have a product or service to sale, so I suppose it's normal. I'm recovering from injuries from traumatic events that caused chronic pain, so I no longer can lift like I used to, currently going to physical therapy until I'm able to lift again.

Thanks btw! Hoping to recover soon to go back to a healthier lifestyle. Currently working back towards it.

I do a digital declutter twice a year.  In January and July.  I try to delete all apps that I haven’t used in the past 6 months.

Hello, hope you've been doing well!

You are legend for trying actively to solve this, keep on going!

My post may be a little long, but I hope it helps you in the end. Those are the applications and YT channels that I follow which helped me to learn more and be on the bright side of the Internet.

Deepstash

Invite link from me :)

This application is like a little box full of important moments of books, lectures, podcasts and anything you find on the internet. You can even write your own little cards, but there is plenty existing ones to read! It is presented like a collection of those little cards and there are journeys with more of those collections. You can read about it more on the internet.

Dictionary.com

Android

iOS

This is application for daily english words (advanced) with many word games and much more. Native or not, it is always helpful to develop your vocabulary and it doesn't require more than 5 minutes to do most of the things.

As for the YT channels, I follow TED mostly, I assume you

know what is it, but I'll still explain. Short or long lessons in any area or subject in life, very informative, but take it with grain of salt, because I think when you learn themes which aren't exact you need to use critical thinking.

Ali Abdaal's channel is absolutely amazing for productivity

tips and very helpful book recommendations. It is more for students but everyone can find something for themselves.

Personally, I like Philosophy Overdose channel, it is full of

short and long videos as lectures or audios with academic and non-academic philosphy. In the end, we all need some dose of philosophy in our lives.

Lastly, if you want YT channel as a video podcast,

Tom Bilyeu's channel is a very good choice. Usually, videos

are 2-3 hours long but you can also find shorter ones. Themes are mostly for self development.

That's all from me, if you have any questions or you would like to discuss those, feel free to do so! Thank you for reading until the end and I'm sorry for writing so much!

All the best! 💐💐

@lamimoon Ooo, I do quite enjoy philosophy channels! I follow School of Life for it. I'll have to check out your recommendations as well! I use the dictionary.com app. I'm a linguaphile who enjoys learning multiple languages. That ones helps improve my English. :) Thank you for your suggestions, I appreciate your well-thought out response.
