Sleep hygiene
Hey everyone, I am struggling very badly with my sleep hygiene. Going to bed at all hours, waking up at different hours, etc. I cannot seem to get myself to go to bed. I do use a cpap that I am very adjusted to so that is not the issue. It is more so avoidance and sleep procrastination. Does anyone else have suggestions besides forcing myself to do so and exercising? I struggle greatly with finding the motivation to exercise. It is getting started that is the hardest part.

An easy way to maintain good sleep hygiene is keep our circadian rhythm on track. When you get up in the morning, get exposure to bright light and continue with that throughout the day, Then a couple of hours before bed, shut drapes and blinds, and turn down the lights. Dime TV and computer screens. You do not want any blue light in the hour or 2 leading up to bed. See if that helps out.
@creativePenguin5558 personally i just take a melatonin pill using my phone with brightness down until i drift to sleep

Hey, I am really glad you shared this. It sounds like this has been weighing on you for a while, especially when you know what you want to do but just can't seem to get yourself to do it. That can be really frustrating.
I'm wondering what those evenings are like for you. When it's time to go to bed, what usually ends up happening instead? Is it that your mind is still busy, or does it feel more like you just don't want the day to end?
And how does all of this make you feel the next day? Are you mostly exhausted, or is it more that you're frustrated with yourself because your sleep schedule feels out of your control?
Hi! Sleep hygiene is my thing! I have a sleep disorder so my sleep is very important to me! I stay out of my room as much as I can, I created a very inviting and cozy bedroom atmosphere, and I created a sleep ritual that signals it's time to relax and get ready for bed. If you'd like to talk more pm me!

Hey there I'm KindListenerH and I've handled some cases like this! I would like you to elaborate how it goes and also I would suggest you (You can decide what should you do the best consider it before applying it!) that try making a routine sleep at the fixed or in the radius of the time and rise too like this be cheerful the whole day! When you're feeling low listen to some music, walk in the nature, or whatever you find calming, you may also listen to some podcasts, play some sports or if not possible watch it and cheer yourself up and get back to work!❤️🫂
Try completely getting off social media for few weeks and see if that can help you sleep on time. Some people switch to brick phone to cut their screen time.
