Just shake of your emotions out of you body when feeling overwhelmed. It might sound stupid and it definitely looks like one from the outside... But works for me

So, ROCK YA BODY!

Emotional & Mental Self-Care

1. Indulge in the therapeutic act of writing letters to your future self — one for when you're happy, one for when you're lost, and one for when you need strength. This simple exercise can bring a sense of relief and comfort, knowing that you have a message waiting for you in times of need.

2. Create a personalized 'comfort box' filled with sensory items (textures, scents, small objects) that specifically calm you when you're overwhelmed. This act of personalization can make you feel understood and cared for, even in your most challenging moments.

3. Do a "mood audit" — assign a color or symbol to each emotion you feel during a day; paint or draw what it looks like.

4. Set a 24-hour 'nothing expected' day where you liberate yourself from all productivity pressure. Even rest is optional. This freedom can make you feel at ease and allow you to relax truly.

5. Talk to your inner child out loud — gently, like you'd comfort a scared kid. It may sound weird, but it can actually rewire your inner self-talk.

Physical & Sensory Self-Care

6. Embrace the simplicity of forest bathing (Shinrin-yoku) — take a leisurely walk and observe the smells, textures, and sounds around you.

7. Adapt your lighting to suit your mood — experiment with colored LED bulbs, candles, or fairy lights to transform your environment at your whim.

8. Indulge in a personal “re-sensitization shower” — focus on your unique sensations of the water, soap, and temperature.

9. Wrap yourself in something heavy (like a blanket or jacket fresh from the dryer) and let your body feel safe.

10. Dance one song per day — even if it’s absurd, especially if it’s ridiculous.

Creative & Spiritual Self-Care

11. Empower yourself by creating a personalized altar or mini “peace corner” — fill it with objects that represent calm, power, or healing for you.

12. Express your feelings as spells or poems — there are no rules, just pure emotion and intention. Feel liberated in this creative process.

13. Draw your anxiety as a creature — give it a name and personality; sometimes externalizing helps you tame it.

14. Engage in a “symbolic cleanse” — take a shower or light incense while actively visualizing washing away negativity or old energy. Feel connected to this cleansing process.

15. Spend time under the moonlight — even five minutes can reset your nervous system.

Social & Relational Self-Care

16. Empower yourself by curating your digital space. Mute or unfollow anyone who drains your energy, and fill your feed with gentle or inspiring content that uplifts you.

17. Indulge in a peaceful moment by hosting a “quiet hangout”. Invite a friend to read, draw, or listen to music together in a serene silence that brings a sense of calm and relaxation.

18. Experience a sense of relief by writing a thank-you note to someone who helped you heal, even if you don’t send it. This act can lighten your emotional load and bring a sense of peace.

19. Create a “boundary ritual” — a small act like lighting a candle when you say no, to remind yourself that your peace matters.

20. Volunteer for something comforting — like animal shelters or community gardens — where compassion feels reciprocal.

Do the things you enjoyed doing even though it may look silly for an adult . As a matter of fact, nothing is silly as long as you love it. Example, watch your favorite cartoons, play your favorite games. Helps to reconnect with the inner child💖💖
