Best sleep I've ever had.

the best feeling in the world
@jesusredeemedme2425 I absolutely love the "lay on your back" thing. It has so many benefits from releasing the spine, relaxing muscle, easing headaches or other bad posture related pains to calming the nervous system or regulating racing thoughts if you combine It with a few belly breaths. It's simple, yet very effective 😊

@sadcat13
i never knew this, but it worked great to calm me down, thank you
@BrokenTempest glad it helped 😊 it always helps me too when my OCD is screaming from the roof top or I experience unexplained pains/health symptoms 😊
Those cats look like a crime scene😢
@warmheartedHuman836 the cuteness overload got too much to handle 😁
Yes, sad cat, l think their cuteness was just too intense! But hopefully, like fainting goats, they snapped out of it soon! 😃
@warmheartedHuman836 I'm sure a treat pack rustling solved it 😁
Sad cat, what l like about this site is that everyone here is dealing with something difficult, either emotional, physical, spiritual, or all three. Yet, in the midst of it all, we can still laugh. We can still be the normal people we are beneath all the hard things going on. Just the little video of those tired sleepy kittens can't help but put a smile on your face and begs to have some jokes made over them!
We are all normal humans going through every kind of hardship imaginable! But we somehow "get" each other though we may never have dealt with a particular hardship.
Rebounding from emotional turmoil is tough! We all know it and all can empathize with each other! That's the cool thing about this site! And encouraging others somehow is like a bomarang and comes right back to us. We encourage ourselves as we encourage others!
When someone is venting about all their thoughts and hopelessness, we commiserate! We weap with those who are weaping! Have joy with those who feel joyful! We don't make inappropriate jokes for someone in misery! People here use good judgment to me in the ways we answer each other when things are hard. I love this site! And good to meet you Sadcat, my name is Perry! And you are funny, by the way. Made me chuckle! Ha 😁💖
@warmheartedHuman836 nice to meet you too 😊
Refusing to engage in hateful conversation, I think that's not usually considered self-care, but should.
@RibbonOfLight4
I fully approve of calling this self-care! Setting a boundary for yourself for the day is taking care of you and your needs. If you want to make it more "self-care" sounding, you could tell yourself you wish to engage in only pleasant conversations today. :) I'm adding this to my self-care notebook so thank you for the inspiration!🌺
Username checks out ;)
@jesusredeemedme2425
yeah it does, thats so cool. i love that you have an entire notebook of self care, thats really awesome
Ribbon, loved your idea of refusing to use hateful conversation as self care! Doing that has a lot if bible verses behind it, the strongest is maybe, "do unto others as you would have them do unto you." Outstanding idea!
Maaan this conversation is making me want chicken nuggets LMAO.
I Like to take hot baths and blast metal music in a speaker next to me on 100 LMAO 🤣 😆
@Shamrock1993
Me too! Possibly the best self care to do. and yeah, im hungry, im going to go eat some chicken nuggets. Who cares if its 12 am, and everyone is asleep, its the best time to eat
Sounds like a plan to me its never a bad time for Chicken nuggets 😋
It takes such a big load off of my shoulders when I come home from a bad day. My husband just shrugs it off and goes to the other side of the house. Lol
@Shamrock1993
sometimes i like quiet and alone time, but he should not do that, you deserve and need better
@BrokenTempest
Lol I appreciate you but he's a good guy. Its more of an alone time for me thing. Lol 😆
Shouting inaudibly into a distance
Magnanimous, when l was a teenage l went with a church group to the Smokies and climbed to a very high point where there was a 500 foot drop straight down. I remember hollering and it was so different than screaming on flat ground. The instant you closed you mouth the sound was gone. Gone is a way l had never heard before. It wasn't bouncing back at me from trees, houses, billboards, or whatever. The sound just went out and fully dissipated in the vastness before me. Was a interesting feeling l will never forget! 😃
@warmheartedHuman836
wow, i remember loving the Smokey Mountains so much, I never tried screaming there though, but now I want to go back to do that.
also you should become a writer or something, this was incredible
Tempest, l wish l could be a writer but my vocabulary is too small, l would have to gain many lQ points but thanks for the compliment! 😀
That sounds so beautiful
