What has helped you sleep?

I have had pretty bad insomnia for some time. Some things that have helped me sleep include:

-Warm milk

-Deciding to set aside bedtime as a time to not think but just to sleep

-Exercise before bed

-My depression medicine is a sedative that helps me fall asleep.

Those are great! I turn my electronic devices off 30 minutes before bed and focus on breathing evenly and deeply!

That's all great ideas. There's really only one thing that helps me fall asleep but if I told anyone they'd look at me weird.. I have to pretend that my best friend is watching over me or he's sleeping with me...only way I can sleep..

I turn on the fan. Make sure all the lights are off and relax my mind. Taking a cool shower (not cold) sometimes helps too.

Turning on the fan is something that I've done in the past as well. It's the white noise which is strangely soothing, relaxing, and calming in the same instant. My gf of the time in the US introduced me to the idea.

Thanks for sharing.
