Feeling pretty miserable overall and upset that I had paced things out so well ahead of time but things out of control made it so I wasn't able to stick with holiday related stuff for more than a week, I've lost track how many days it's actually been where I haven't been able to do much at all either because of pain and attacks/being a risk for having more triggered and getting everything prepared for surgery and then going through that and recovering. I know that I'm doing what I can, Christmas with my family will most likely be good even if I don't get all I wanted done and I will have better days ahead than how I'm currently doing. It doesn't change the fact I feel pretty low though, but I do know this is temporary.

I have really paid attention to body scans and that has helped. I'm going to try resuming the self-massage today.

@AffyAvo

Sounds like the challenge is helping then?

@Soleena Yeah, I used to pay a fair bit of attention to my 'problem areas' ie. throat/vocal cords plus my overall energy level but I think it's been beneficial to go through my whole body part by part.

@AffyAvo

I think this is something I might start to try at some point (the body scanning of how each area feels etc...). I know that if I concentrate on things too much though then my anxiety issues tend to get a little crazy. But maybe I can start with little things.... and work my way up. But glad to hear that you are hanging in and doing the best that you can. Its really all we can do for ourselves.

I knew this week would be difficult because of some major changes in daily routine, but the disruption had some unexpected aspects, and I'm struggling. Chocolate is easy, since it's something I don't do. I forget to do the other two.

It's not so bad with squats, I actually had to do them one day: it was the healthier alternative for some phycical labor (it was so nice to feel strong and able at something unusual... e.g. running is not unusual.) Plus I've added some other exercise, a long walk and a long strair climb. The results have become visible this week, and yet I'm slipping out of the habbit.

Journaling is worse. I forget it or, what's worse. really feel opposed to writing. This was not expected.

In short, my third week has been a mess that I don't know how to fix, and it is frustrating.

@Soleena That must be so nice that you can see the results of your squats and exercises. :) It sounds like it would be pretty motivating, too?

I'm sorry that you're struggling with journaling. If you're forgetting it, maybe it would be helpful to do it at a certain time of day? For example, I used to journal right when I got home from school, and now I journal right before bed (but I don't do it all the time). And aww, I'm sorry that you feel opposed to writing sometimes. That's probably the same reason I don't journal more...but I know journaling is one of your challenges for the holiday challenge, so maybe it would help to have a journal prompt or a topic to write about? I use the journaling prompts from Kati Morton's youtube videos sometimes, and sometimes I just write every thought that comes into my head (including "aaahhhh") :P

I hope that next week is better! Hugs

@lovingBanana5204

You'd think the success would be motivating, but it isn't. frown I do have exciting future plans that need physical fitness though, and they manage to get some excitement out of me.

Journaling, yeah. I had a time of day for it, but it doesn't do anymore... Now I was thinking to maybe just write about one interesting thing or thought of the day, and drop the minimum line rule.

Just one week left, I can do this.

@Soleena

Aww, I'm sorry that the success isn't that motivating. Just remember that you're stronger now than you were at the start of this challenge! And those future plans sound like something good to look forward to and a good reason to prepare!

Yeah, the time of day thing can be difficult to be consistent with... That sounds like a good idea!! I do that sometimes, too. :)

Yes you can!! heart

So far I've been doing really well this holiday season!

I had finals the first week of the month, and I really focused on having time for self care, exercise, and at least mostly healthy meals.

This past week I have been doing a lot of relaxing and planning. My big holiday trip is next week so I want to have everything in place to keep myself on track for that!

My challenge task was just to make a positive post to my feed every day. Although I need to work on my diet and exercise, I really needed to work on my head. I am not used to thinking positively, and some days I do have a hard time figuring out what to post. But, I have done it every day (except one when I somehow forgot!) and it is definitely helping me. I try to do it in the morning so that I start the day off thinking about the positives in my life.

I haven't been very healthy this week, haven't really stuck to my goals. A little I guess...better than nothing...a healthy life style would really help me right now to get through a stressful time. I should do more of my goals...

I am fine. Was lazy and didn't exercise regularly for a while. But I resumed my routine recently.

I've been doing well this week..sticking to my challenges. I picked things that I knew would be easy for me to stick with, as well as things that I wanted to work on and stay on track with. Which I figured this challenge would help me do......

I work out 6 of 7days a week, and give myself One Rest Day. Which our body deserves....I also chose to Journal Daily, which (as another member stated above, I did this to work on myself "Mentally".) I have been keeping up with the Journaling 6 to 7 days out of the week during this challenge. And it helps.

I also chose to stay on track with my Vitamins, I tend to lose track of taking them on the "Weekends" because my days run a little differently as appose to the weekdays. So I get off track a little with this.... But so far, I have been hanging in, and trying to stay on track with these things as well as trying to remember to increase my Water intake which has decreased some since the winter has started....I hope that everyone has been enjoying the challenge and taking something with them out of this. I hope for those that have been able to mostly stay on track and keep up, I hope that you are able to continue to incorporate these positive changes into your lifestyle! Keep up the great work everyone! yes
