WEEKLY CHECK-IN JANUARY 14th
HEY EVERYONE!
How is everyone doing this week?!... Seems like just yesterday I posted "last weeks check-in thread"! lol...
How has this past week been for you? Mentally, Emotionally, Goal-wise, Eating, staying on track etc..etc..? What have been your highs or lows for the week. We want to hear from YOU!
I've been hanging in .... Had some anxiety this week.. But tried what I could to push through as well as I could. Was able to workout indoors and make my steps everyday this week. First time since Christmas (Since I allowed myself that break)...... Today (Saturday) is my "Rest-day", but I still managed to get in over 10,000 steps, So was happy About that...... Kept up with my water, and back on track with eating well the entire week. Even managed to get outside and walk a little again since the winter weather took a break this week in my area! lol...Tomorrow starts a new week, hoping to do just as well or better.
@PoliteOcean.. this week was a little challenging for me, drunk too much red wine, I think depression and loneliness tried to hit me down. But in the brighter side I do drink plenty water, less soda and less fast food.
@Helping2findAway
Its ok Helping.. sometimes that happens. But its GREAT that you are staying on track in other ways!... Its good though that you knew and targeted where you might have indulged a little too much. Just keep on focusing on the things that you are doing right! And keep up the great work! ![]()

I'm doing a lot better than I did previously! My exercise is reaching new heights I didn't think it would and I don't have to try to eat healthy now.. It happens on its own.. Thanks so much for this! :) 💓
@PuppyLove13
Oh wow! Congrats PuppyLove! That is great news! I'm so glad to hear that you are doing so well and staying on track. Keep up the awesome work! ![]()
@PuppyLove13 Congratulations! Keep at it!
@PoliteOcean been busy and tiring, eating: tried not to be as bad as other times.
Goal for this week drink lots of water.
It's a busy busy week ahead and I have to start doing something again that I have had a months break from, can't say what as it might give a clue to my real identity, it's nothing top secret but an extremely exhausting thing (not picking up heavy things or stuff like that) but the stress of and the time restraints and the actually activity in some way leaves me so physically and mentally and emotionally exhausted and as its coming closer it'ss like every cell in my body is screaming NO!!!!! I've done it for the past 3 years and I am so tired but people around me dont understand it, There is still another 2 years doing what I need to do and then more challenges ahead, it's for my special needs child. I know it doesn't make sense and it's nothing weird, but if I specify what i repetitively need to do if anyone knows me and happens to be on 7 cups I don't want them reading my posts, it's been sort of an outlet being able to post stuff but I don't want people I know finding out as to most around me Im fine.
All the best to everyone this week x
@Avaray
No worries Avaray..thats understandable. Thats the great thing about sites like these. That we can post our true feelings and can have the anonymity while doing it :) All the best to you as well! And keep doing whatever it is that you need to do for "You"!

@PoliteOcean
This week has been pretty hard for me in terms of anxiety and eating habits. I've been keeping up with avoiding snacking after dinner. But I still haven't been all that honest with myself, in terms of replacing unhealthy food with healthy food/eating habits.
I've been doing yoga for a good 2 weeks now but I'm a bit disappointed with myself because I gave up doing it yesterday.
I will try to make the conscious effort to keep up with yoga today and my water habits have improved in the last week since I've been going to school...
All the best to everyone,
Lost of hugs!!!!

@AdiAdaJaz315
Hey Adi!... I can understand and relate to the "anixety".... Sometimes that can surely make things a little more challenging when trying to lead a healthier lifestyle the way you want. And while, you have identified your stressors as well as your weaker areas, its AWESOME that you are building, incorporating and keeping up with the other healthy things that you have been doing for yourself! So don't be too hard on yourself. You know what you need to do for you, and have identified that. Keep up the great work and focus on those positives :)
This week was not as good for me as last week. Had a couple of stressful incidents at the beginning of the week, one of which is going to be very expensive. The week got better as it went along, but I did not meet all my exercise goals. My eating was mostly pretty good. I didn't lose any weight this week but at least didn't gain any back.
@SadMe70
I always tell you that you are doing a great job.. and you ARE!.. While we can't always avoid the little life "stressors", its great that you stayed on track as well as you could, and even better that your work is paying off in terms of NOT gaining back any weight. I used to sometimes focus on the fact that I "didn't" lose any weight, but you have to train yourself to focus on the positive that you "Didn't" gain any back. And you identified that and thats a great thing! Keep going girly.. you got this ;)
@PoliteOcean Thank you so much! It's this site and people like you that help me stay more positive than I used to be.
I have fallen into a slump lately so I'm hoping the check-ins will help. Over the holidays I got into the habit of not eating well or regularly, plus I didn't exercise as much as I planned.
This past week I still didn't do much exercising because I felt like I was going to come down with a cold. I did eat well most days and broke that habit of just eating junk when I get home from work. I need to do better with getting to bed earlier also so that's another area I'm going to work on this week.
@brightCherry8538
wow...sounds like we have alot in common Bright!... I kind of got into that little slump as well. It was nice to just be able to indulge over the holidays without allowing myself to feel guilty for doing it! It was great too, telling myself not to be too focused on not getting in all the workouts that I wanted to get in as well, since I was focusing on the "Season" and being with my family. Also the "bed-time" thing..I am still working on that as well
But , it sounds like you said, you have been able to finally break that pattern of indulging in not so healthy things right after work! And that you had eaten well "MOST" days! So all of that is Awesome work!... And while you see where you got off track its important to acknowledge all the other great things that you have done as well... And it sounds like you are making your way back on track again. So keep it up! Keep going! You can do it!...
Well I have highs and lows. Lows include telling myself I will go to Zumba last Thursday and then not going the end because I just didnt feel like it, also im still having trouble increasing my fruit/vegetable intake.
On the high side, at least I've been good at taking my multivitamins for each day, and begin each morning with a nice cup of tea.
@mimameid
Mima, don't understestimate what a great job you've done. I'm a Zumba Instructor and there were LOTS of times that I myself didn't even feel like going. Its just being human. We aren't always going to be up to doing some specific that we planned in our minds. Keeping up in other areas and staying on track there is just as great. (Such as the multivitamin)! Lots of us can be forgetful when it comes to keeping up with those. I am one of those people at times. But the fact that you have, is still doing something great for yourself AND your health! Keep up the great work ;)
@PoliteOcean I am doing pretty well :) I found it a bit hard to fit in exercise, so I only got 2 days in. This week hopefully I will have more time :)
@Mellietronx
Its ok Mellie.. and try not to look at it as you "ONLY" got "two" days in ...... the fact that you DID get even "some" in is BETTER than NONE at all!! Right?! So don't be too hard on yourself or that dorm situation. You got this... Keep up the great work! And heres to hoping you have better oportunities this week to keep up with it even more! :)
Last week, was actually a great week for myself, in terms of exercising and eating well. I skated a few days, did an exercise dvd a couple of times, and was able to get exercise through walking outdoors. Food-wise, I took in some vegetables everyday, and I've been trying to drink more water.
