(And ANY and ALL "NEWBIES"!)
This past week wasn't too bad....... I started off with the Memorial Day weekend, and getting off track a bit with my eating... and I didn't track for at least 3 days. Which is totally something I haven't done since the Holidays. However, I did stay on track with my Exercises....With that being said, I managed to still have a great weigh-in day today.
The Pool opened last weekend, so I was finally able to get to the pool to lap and do my water/resistance exercises! The water was a little on the chilly side, but once I got used to it, it was great to be back at it
.... Plus, I did Zumba several times this week, got the Puppy out for his walk by the Lake, and the weather has been very warm this week and I love to walk when it warm so I can sweat more. Which I think helped. Also, With it being warmer, my water intake is managing to get a little better as well. So I'm glad about that.
Emotionally, eh...well, I just try to take it day by day and keep moving forward best that I can. Also, had a few not so great nights of sleep.. but, Lots of retail therapy as well this past week. Which can also help...Lol..
....AND today is REST DAY! WooHOO!....
Hope everyone else's week has been going well~
@PoliteOcean
sounds like you're trying to see the good side of things and that you've actually been quite successful in being healthy in my opinion!! i think you're doing a great job ngl and as always, thanks for posting the checkins :)
@PoliteOcean
How have you been? tiiiired
What have been your highs/lows? My depression has been a thing and I have been drained. I did get to spend sometime with my friends.
What new things have you done or tried? I tried hanging out with friends I haven't spent much time with :)
What goals have you reached? Drinking lots of water!
@Mellietronx
Wow Mellie... great check in. Despite you being tired and your depression giving you some issues, it sounds like you are really trying to do what you need to to stay on track the best you are able to. And thats a great thing. Just concentrate on the "good" things that you have been doing for yourself ,every little bit helps as well as counts! Thank you so much for checking in this week and keep taking care of yourself. :)
Well, my week was terrible. Yesterday and this morning I felt happier but now my mood has dropped again and I'm not even sure why :(
My highs of this week have been getting a load of writing done and learning to be a bit happier with myself. My lows have been my mum always having a go at me and me being depressed.
My goal for this month is to be a happier person :)
@xxharleyxx
Harley that is an awesome Goal to work towards!...Perhaps you can try writing out some steps that you can take to ensure that it happens for you? Thank you so much for checking in this week and for sharing with us! Keep up the great work that you've been doing.
@PoliteOcean that's a good idea! Thank you
I dunno. I can't remember much. But some days are ok. But other days I'm not ok
@HalliwellSister
Yep..that happens Halli~
@PoliteOcean
Another one of my my dogs died :( So Im very emotionally numb.
@HalliwellSister
Oh sorry to hear that Halli... I know how difficult that can be. I hope that you are taking care of yourself during this time. Sorry to hear about your loss.
@PoliteOcean
hugs. Thank you. <3
Was a very good week. Low stress levels. Summer and Spring are best times of year. Winter always seems more difficult. Enjoying plenty of sunshine and outdoor activities to keep busy.
I had a good week, in terms of cardio. Got a few sessions of outdoor biking in, and some walking as well. I will aim to engage in strength training one day per week. I'm also trying to drink as much water as possible.
The really good period I was feeling last week ended on Friday.
I was at Costco with my husband, he was doing all the 'work't here. Loading things into the cart and pushing it. A storm hit, I think that was part of the change. I started feeling horrible and we cut the trip short. I didn't feel great all weekend. Took at least one nap every day. I woke up this morning with a throat attack. It has been a while since I've had one, so it's good at least that it's been so long.
I'll take things easier until my next infusion. It's taken a few hours but I already feel more clear now after using my attack med than what I felt all weekend. I would love a nap as I am really tired but doing so is too risky, especially while alone. I'm hoping after some recovery time I can get back into feeling really good again.
@AffyAvo
Sorry to hear that happened Affy.... I really dislike when we feel like we take a step forward, and then another step back. Its not easy and surely throws a "wrench" into things or trying to stay on track. But you are obvioulsy doing what is best for you, and know what you need to do. I hope that you are able to get a nap in sometime soon. I'm sure your body can use the rest. Hopefully things will start to get back on track like they had been going for you soon.
I spent most of last week visiting my mom. Mom, my sister, and I spent 3 days cleaning out her basement and had a junk hauler come and take it all away. My Dad kept so much stuff. Mom is so glad to have the basement usable again. I really enjoyed being with them. I did only a little exercise but was moving and productive most of the time. No depression at all that week, but of course it set right back in once I got home. Yesterday I got my steroid shot for my neck, so I'm hoping the neck pain will ease off and maybe help my shoulder pain too, so I can start doing more weights, etc. like I used to. I just did a quick 1-mile walk video, and the sun is shining and I have stuff to do outside today, so today should be a better day than yesterday!
@SadMe70
Wow Sad... sounds like a great check-in!...So glad to hear that you've been feeling "productive" and its great that you got to spend time with your mom/sister while doing so. Sounds like they're presence in your day helped alot with your mood and I'm glad it helped with the depression. Its almost like a "vacation" of sorts... You go away spend time with those you love, and just take a break from the "norm" so it gives your mind, thoughts, mood a break. But then you get back to "norm" and the moodiness sets back in.
I'm glad the sun is shining for you today, I know with me that helps ALOT! And I hope that the shot works for you. I know I had to get those in my foot when I had Plantar Fascitis. And it helped so much I was able to get back to Zumba etc... So I hope that it works for you as well and that you are able to start getting back to the things that you enjoy and can also help you get back on track as well. Glad to see you back and I really appreciate you checking in this week!
