HEY EVERYONE!

WELL....we are already at the end of May! Just another week left AND almost half way through this year. Plus... for some of us, Summer is only a few weeks away, as well as its Memorial Day Holiday weekend~

How is everyone doing?!....

How are your goals going?

What have been your highs or lows?

What would you like to share about this past week?!

How do you plan to stay on track for the Memorial Day Weekend? Any plans?!

WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU! smiley

I had a good week in terms of cardio. I went biking and inline skating several times. I also did a bit of dancing.

I'm aiming to start strength training one day a week (bodyweight exercises, using dumb-bells).

i've felt myself getting better at swimming tbh, two weeks ago i could barely swim 100m without being extremely tired but i did 200m non-stop today and although i was quite tired after that i managed it!! hopefully everyone's been as successful :)

Whoa it seems I havent been here for a while...thank you @PoliteOcean for remembering me.
I am doing well, just been staying busy. This week hasnt been the most productive with my weightloss habits...I havent really journaled and I didnt go to the gym for a couple of reasons. I didnt journal my food intake coz my cousin have been here and she cooked traditiional foods and idk how to journal it with the calories and such but I didnt over eat, that's what im proud of. I stuck with stoping when I am full and drinking lots of water before during and after meals and throughout the day. I did not go to the gym coz of my foot, I rested it. I did walk (minimally) while my cousin was in town...we went to Sedona and to the Grand Canyon. My foot is much better and I will be going back to the gym tomorrow.
I am happy to report that I have been loosing weight since I started this weight loss journey and there is no way I will be gaining those pounds back.

Anyways...how are you doing??? :D

@AliNurse

Wow thats great Ali! And I swear we are like two peas in a pod! lol...

My week was kind of the same as well (With the Memorial Day weekend, I got a little off track since I posted this) lol... but Like you said, I kept track and tried to not to "over do " it too much. And I stayed on track with workouts and Zumba etc...but haven't logged in the past few days since posting this as well.

I think its great that you were able to still get out and enjoy activity in other ways and be 'mindful' so to speak. Sounds like either way that you've been having a great time with your cousin and all. So thats most important that you are doing something good for your over-all health by just "having fun" and engaging time with others. Keep up the great work. I was thinking about you and so glad to see you post! Also glad to hear that your foot is doing better! Thats great for you!... And congrats on the weight loss. Mine has slowed down here and there, but I'm ready for it in the coming week! I've got JUNE goals to meet lol and the pool is open now too!

Your doing great... You've got this. yes

@PoliteOcean ... Omg we are like soul healthy life sisters hehehe. I'm just so happy to hear that I wasn't alone in getting off track but it's a new week and getting back to it. Thank you for thinking about me, makes me feel good that I have such support and motivation from you.

Yes, I'm happy my foot is better, going to Zumba in the morning and back at my journey. June, I'm wanting to loose 5lbs and increasing my cardio by using the pool... I'm so excited 😁

Good luck to us 😍😁

I'm feeling really good today.

I went to a class yesterday, my first one at my trainer's new house. It was a very different class, as we were outside because inside she had a bunch of contractors installing things for the gym. Normally working out in someone's backyard is not something I would do, but she knows me and that I'm not going to be getting down in the grass (allergies). She grabbed a few TRX resistance cords (a bar connected to a strong bungee cord) and hooked them up to her fence. Doing a squat with resistence from the side or front was different!

A big thing is I didn't feel horrible afterwards. I was tired and did take a nap but it was more a normal exhausted feeling rather than a sick one. I have found getting some sugar in right after is helpful. Last few months I've been doing that with defrosted frozen fruits - the juice the forms from freezing/thawing gives me a quick sugar intake. Yesterday I went for a less healthy option - a store bought fruit-based popsicle that clearly has added sugar. It was hot, workout was outside and later in the day than what I usually pick and I would have eaten it at some point anyway.

Considering how long it's been, I'm doing really well. Gardening, moving a few things for my brother in law and playing with my nephew was enough to keep any major losses at bay! My triceps probably weren't getting much use though, they are feeling a bit stiff today, but not to the point where I think I went past what's safe. Having that break and coming back easily makes me feel strong, much fitter than I was a year ago, or even in Jan when I was first returning after a medically needed break.

I will have to figure out some things for the future. The new place is at least double the distance from my house, so I'm going to have to think carefully about walking there. I'll have to time it out as I'm not great at estimating my walking times. My bigger concern though is if walking that far before and after working out is going to be something that's good for me or not.

I am looking forward to her new gym. The basement is a walkout and while it's just a storm pond that it faces it's pretty! So workout with a view :)

@AffyAvo

Amazing Check-in Affy.. Not much more I can really say other than that. Simply Amazin and that you are very lucky to have access to a personal trainer and her home gym.
