The week has gone well..... Started off the week on Sunday waking up VERY early to attend an all day Zumba Training an hour away. And I received a new Zumba License. I'm now licensed to teach "STRONG By ZUMBA".... So I was really proud of myself for doing that and making it through the 8hour training. Especially with my issues of Anxiety etc...But, my husband drove me, and stayed until it was over. So it was great having that support nearby until I finished. yes

Stayed on track with eating, and tracking, and exercising. But... was Very Sore and tired for a few days after the Training. It took my body a few days to catch up................Today is REST DAY! So Yayy!!... and Summer is only a few weeks away for us here where I am at, and the POOL is going to be opening "Today" for the summer! cool... So..I am ready to incorporate the Pool back into my workout routines. Also...its Memorial Day Holiday Weekend, so It will be nice to have extra time to relax with my husband.

Hope everyone else has been doing well this week smiley

Still not doing very well on exercise, and eating way too many treats. I was at least very productive today around the house. I'm going to visit my mom this coming week for several days, and one of my sisters will be there. Even though we will be starting to clean out her basement, and I'll be seeing Dad's grave for the first time since his funeral, I'm still looking forward to the trip.

@SadMe70

Hey Sad! So glad to see you check in with us this week......

I'm know grieving is still difficult for you.... I know how challenging it is to get through all the little "First times". I'm so glad to hear that you are looking forward to the trip though. And that you will have your mom and sister there for support and comfort. And you can handle the experience "Together". And don't be too hard on yourself about extra treats, You will get back on track, but you are still going through the process of grieving and your mind, body, mental/emotional health just all need time to catch back up with one another. You will get there. Please take care. Thinking of you.

@PoliteOcean Thank you! Your positive posts are always helpful! I work at a school and we finished this week. While I am away from "junk food central" for the summer, I plan to lose 10 pounds. It should be easier without the constant temptations. I will also be outside more, which should help my mood.

@SadMe70

Thats awesome.... I worked at a school too. I know how many temptations lay around that place. lol... I couldn't wait for the last day to come. lol.... But yes, that should certainly help to get you back on track as well. And the warmer weather is often a great stress reliever, as well just being outside, in the sun, and away from the "every day" work life, can help tremendously.

not doing well with exercise because i've been so busy with university. one of my goals was to go swimming but i've been unable find time for it. even though i've really wanted to do it because it's been so hot!

i've been managing to eat healthy despite the stress though. haven't missed any meals and i've been eating lots of fruit.

hopefully i'll find time to exercise again when my deadlines are all over in two weeks

@EllieKB

Ellie it sounds like you are doing great! Don't be too hard on yourself for not being able to fit in exercising, and try to focus on the all the things you "are" doing that are great for you such as staying on track with your eating!

Lots of times the eating right can be the most challenging for people. But you are already on track! So thats awesome. Keep up the great work you've been doing, the rest will fall in line :)

Have had several good weeks of low anxiety. I think the sunny weather and a lot of time outside has helped. Getting plenty of fresh air and exercise. Today is work in the garden day. Have a lot of plants to get in which will always lift your spirits. Being on 7 Cups has also helped with everyones positive encouragement.smiley

That is so great Sail!... I'm so proud of you. It can be so challenging to deal with Anxiety and Depression etc.... I experience it myself, so I personally understand how difficult it can be. Its great that yours has been low. I know for me the Sunny days can help Immensely as well!!... I'm so glad that its helping you too and helping you to stay on track! Keep up the great work :)

@jr50

Sorry to hear that Jr. ... Moving can be a HUGE, exhausting time. I hope for you that its a 'Good move'?!..... Also, you can look at it in another way, that by moving you are getting in alot of "activity". I'm sorry that you don't have much time for other things right now, but moving won't last forever, and you will get to a period when you are finally able to get back on track again. Take care of yourself. And thank you so much for checking in with us!

This week has had it's ups and downs. I kept on track with eating, but not so much with the exercising. I feel alright though and hoping to do better this next week. Have a great week everyone!

@essdee

Thanks for checking in Essdee!

It can be difficult to track "everything" "all" the time, but thats ok... its a positive thing that you kept on track with your eating. Lots of times just the eating part can be the most challenging for some. But you did it! And thats great!....

Every week won't always be 100%, and we will have our highs/lows, but thats ok too. smiley We just keep doing the best that we are "able" to do and take care of ourselves. Thats whats most important. I hope that you have a better week and enjoy the rest of your weekend as well. So glad to have you check in with us no matter what type of week you are having, we love to hear from everyone! Keep up the great work that you "are" doing. It ALL counts! yes

@PoliteOcean I am super tired today, but feeling alright. Just going to be lazy today. Tomorrow I have work and will probably finish up my chores after that. Then Monday and Tuesday off!

Sorry to hear that Melli.... I know how you feel , I've been tired today too. Maybe because its my "Lazy day" as well . lol... We can all use those, nothing wrong with that!...... I purposely make Saturdays my Rest Days at the end of every week.

And its great that you are off Monday & Tuesday. Its nice to have days off "together". I think it helps us to "recharge" a little bit. I hope you enjoy your time off. Thanks for being faithful with "Check-ins" I'm proud of you to see you here every week, no matter how your week might be going. Keep up the great work! :)

I haven't seen my personal trainer for a while. She is moving and had a planned break but there have also been quite a few short-term cancellations as the closings haven't been going smoothly for her.

I feel a little bad as I could have fit into one class, but I had already signed up for another and the two were too close for me to do both. The first wasn't cancelled though whereas the second one was.

I'm hoping I haven't lost gains. I did make it to yoga one week, I have been gardening and I helped a little bit with someone's move (although the booked moving truck is today and won't be there for that, so it was smaller things). So this has been very different than when I had time off in the past and needed many rest days. Maybe I should have done some more focused exercises to get a better range of exercises but I just jumped at the opportunity to deal more with the garden especially as the weather has been so nice.

I should be back at the gym later this week. If that gets put off further I'll try to focus on some of the things that gardening doesn't get to myself!

Wow... Affy this is an Amazing Check-in for you!..... Sounds very positive in alot of ways. Sounds like you have been doing well?! I don't want to make assumptions. But I think its really great you were able to get both Yoga and some gardening in....

I hear gardening can be a "workout" in itself... As well as Yoga. Which is I understand is very beneficial in so many ways. I hope it all keeps going well for you. Keep up the great work!

@PoliteOcean I have been doing pretty well! Unfortunately I think some of that is because of the break from more focused work-out times.

Long time they were clearly beneficial as they got me to this point, a year ago I wasn't doing this well.

Short-term though is a struggle. I do think improving (I'm assuming until next blood test) my iron and B12 levels has at least helped with that though. It's not as bad as it was.

The nice weather also helps!

It would be really awesome if I can improve things to the point where I can exercise intensely enough where I am improving strength and endurance but without the rough recovery period. I have no idea if that's attainable, but I'll do what I can to work towards that.

@AffyAvo

Yeah I hear what you are saying.... I am trying to get back to that point as well with the strength and endurance. (I know our situations are different though of course) But physical issues have held me back a little as well from being able to do everything "in full" that I would like to.

But that is so true, that the weather does help immensely! ....... Sounds like you are really doing a great job and holding your own with everything! That is really great for you. Keep going! Its inspiring!

Well, this is my first check in. So that's step one :-)

My low's have been, multiple anxiety attacks, nightmares, bad sleep and pretty much not getting anything done. That said onto the highs

My highs - I've starting making a plan to pick myself up and move forward. I've started the process of finding a sponser and outling a plan to find a new job. So I think those are steps forward

@DragonFaerie

Hey there! Thank you so much for checking in with us this week.. Proud of you for doing so!

Anxiety.... that pesky thing in some of our lives. I do understand how that feels to deal with that. Its certainly not always an easy thing thats for sure. Restless/Sleepless nights only compound it all... I'm sorry to hear that. But know that you are not alone.

However, I think its awesome the steps and plans that you are both taking and making to move forward. Its always great to make plans to help yourself to keep going. These are some great firsts steps! ... Keep up the great work and let us know how things are going for you. Take care of yourself. Thats whats really important. You can do this :)
